I've been trying to sell my 2000 Audi S4 for a few weeks now, and haven't had much luck. It is in pretty good shape and has low miles, and I've listed it for a low price. It does need some maintenance done soon, and I tried to be upfront and list it all in the ad - do you think that is what my problem is?
Basically it needs the upper control arms replace soon and will need the back brakes replaced in 10k miles. I thought by listing those upfront and discounting the asking price based on the estimates I have from the dealer, I'd be in good shape, but I guess not.
Anyone have experience with stuff like this? Would I be better off doing the maintenance now and selling the car at full price?
Also, any good tips as to where to sell cars online, besides AutoTrader and CraigsList?
Thanks.
