I know football season has started, And I just cannot help myself. Im sure there are alot of fans here for these 4 teams. Based on the preseason, training camps, roster, and so on...who is your opinion to win the division ? I think its time to start talking some football in off topic. By the way, I am a Ravens fan

Yea, I admit, they are a tough team. If Ben can stay healthy and play the entire season...I dont see how they couldnt be the favorite.

I'll be able to answer you better after Sunday, but my initial predictions were for the Bengals to win the division by tie breaker again.

Being a Browns fan, I choose to stay out of these threads, because they only make me depressed.

But since you asked, the AFC North, like many other divisions, is pretty evenly matched. Definitely won't be a run-away division leader, nor will there be a "dead-last in the league" loser either.

I predict:

1. Bengals
2. Steelers
3. Browns
4. Ravens

Pittsburgh and Cinncinnati will be close and Baltimore and Cleveland will be close.

Bengals are going to REPEAT

yes, they did win it last year, and would have gone to the superbowl if not for the antics of Kimo von Axe-murderer, who the steelers lost.

I can totally understand being a Browns fan. I kinda like them myself. But I would seriously not vote for them to win the division. Yea, things will be alot clearer after week one is over. However, ( and not because im a Ravens fan ) but I seriously doubt they finish in 3rd or 4th. They have the receivers, and now a QB, and Ngata to clog up the middle...and a great defense ( there not old ... just experienced )

Im looking forward to Pittsburgh and Baltimore games.

riiight

lets see.. we whooped your ass the first time we played in the season, and the second game, you won by like a touchdown in a game that turned into a shootout in Bens first game returning from surgery. I fail to see how you can make any prediction about what would have happened in the playoffs had palmer still been in the game.

Im not too sure who will win now. Especially the way the Ravens played today against ( #1 defense last year ) Tampa Bay. Pitched a shutout...

Steelers, for a few reasons:

1. They've kept nearly the whole team. Kimo, Randle El, and Hope are the only ones notable that left, besides Bettis retiring.

2. The Steelers will open up the offense a little more for Ben, but they still pound the ball. Willy Parker has done fine as the starter.

3. All this talk of "oh, only if Ben stays healthy" -- they've proved they can win without him. How about if Carson Palmer gets injured, do you really think the Bengals can win?

4. The defense is still one of the best. Porter is still angry as always, Troy is everywhere, and Ike Taylor is coming about.

Don't get me wrong, the Bengals are a great team. But no matter how well they did last year, that was only one season. And let's stop with the whole "if Kimo didn't fall on him" excuse. One play, a legal hit, and it was obvious that it wasn't intentional to hurt him. It's FOOTBALL. It happens.

I'm excited because I think this will be a tough division. Not just Steelers and Bengals, but from the Ravens as well. And as much as I hate them (Browns) I don't like seeing a team suffer for so long. That organization is cursed. Every #1 pick of theirs has some off-field crap that injures them. Here's to hoping Charlie Frye and the rest of their acquisitions can clean it up.

yeah right, the colts would have murdered them in the next game since they don't have a defense, I guess it's hard to lose like that after like 20 years of losing seasons but get over it already.

As a Steelers fan I'd like them to win the division and they might, though I admit the Bengals are strong too.

First and foremost....WHO DEY!! Great win in a tough stadium Sunday. Secondly, I loathe Pittsburgh. And not because of the shot on Palmer last year. ALthough I did pitch a fit about it for a few months. I'm over it. He's back, as good if not better than last year. I can't stand Pittsburgh because they're arrogant. Good team, yes I'll admit that. But I can't stand the way they showboat on the field after nearly every play. Taunting and so forth. Watch tape from the Cincy game yesterday. Good run play, good reception...they get up, get back to the line and get ready for the next play. No garbage.

You make a good play, fine. I'll recognize the effort. But don't go out of your way to make a scene. Only makes you look pathetic. I used to hate the Ravens more than any team in the league. Now, I'll be the biggest Ravens fan when they play Pitt.

I'll be at the Dec. 31st Cincy-Pitt game at PBS. Simply cannot wait for that game.

Chad Johnson doesnt showboat even near the amount of Porter. After every play I see him make, he jumps up....smashes hit foot in the field....and does a kick. And more often than not, gets in the other players faces. I really dont see Chad Johnson doing that, and im sure others will agree also. Ray Lewis likes to showboat some too...like pointing to his bicep...but at least he pats them on the helmet after wards....not like Porter

Defensive showboating is completely different than offensive showboating. The point is the fire up the crowd and make noise, which porter does a great job of doing.

The Browns looked pretty rough on Sunday. They showed the occasional flash of talent on offense. They have several playmakers - Droughns, Frye, Winslow, Edwards, Northcutt - but just as everybody expected, their offensive line proved to be the weak point.

Frye needs to decide sooner whether he plans to run with the ball or throw it. I give him credit for staying in the pocket to wait for an open receiver, but protection was breaking down too fast for him to stand there with the ball.

I'm surprised the Ravens looked as tough as they did. Granted, Tampa Bay is hardly a division champ caliber team, but they were just manhandled the entire game. Congrats to Baltimore.

The cheap shot on Trent Green was classless and deserving of a fine. Cinncinnati may not have won as convincingly without Green running the Chiefs offense.

While I do agree that the shot on Green was bad, I don't believe it was late, intentional or done with malicious intent. The commentators for the game even commented that there wasn't much Geathers could have done to stop it. He was getting a push from the defender. It is sad that he had to go down, but at least he is ok. They said he had feeling in all limbs and was moving around.

As for if he had stayed in, who knows. KC hadn't been moving the ball that well with him in there. If anything, they did a smidge better with Huard. They might have made the game a little more close but I still don't think they would have pulled it out.

Props to the poster who made the comments about Porter. Can't stand him
