Dumb question - anyone know if the Costco / Berkley and Jenses value store jeans are the same as department store jeans? BJs tends to have CK jeans at great prices but they somehow feel different to the touch to me (or it could all be in my head)
There is no such thing as "premium denim". There are only idiots who think that paying twice as much turns a basic utilitarian fabric into something fashionable.
It doesn't!!

casiotech only wear sever for all man kind. Jpaython only rolling in seven and nothing else.
I would go with Joe jeans, but you will not find them for $40. Check out marshals, sometime they have lucky jean for $35.
Random statement about how jeans are inappropriate for work
Gap jeans are pretty easily my favorite, followed by Calvin Klein.
+1
OP, quit being a puss and buy some wranglers. Then go do some real work.
I have tried lucky brand jeans and after 1 wash they got really tight in the crouch region before that they fit pretty well.
I have just been buying jeans from american eagle. OP I think it would be a safe bet for work place jeans to go with any brand that you like but look for some of the darker washes and avoid any of the pre-worn styles that either look like they could rip at any time or have any holes to begin with. At American Eagle the wash designations I typically go for are Dark and Medium Worn.
The most I've ever spent on a pair jeans was $50. Lately I've been buying Levi's from Kohl's for around $25 after coupon + Kohls cash + free shipping.
