I'm not a RTS fan myself but there's a lot of buzz about Company of Heroes and Supreme Commander lately. Might be worth checking out.

Supreme commander? remember its an hard core rts players. Company of heroes the rpg that everyone liked but "me"... any ww2 rpg i play i want it to be releastic and that game is far from that. They screwed up the tiger tank damage model. Anyways dawn of War 40K is fav rts as in theme world wise.

I'm totally not expecting a decent game in C&C3. I expect it to be mediocre gameplay wise with flashy graphics, like 9/10 games are these days

I swear, there is a "I need a new FPS/RTS/adventure/sim" thread every day. Do you people not know of the search function?

Company of Heroes is awesome. It's a bit more of a "hardcore" game, especially when/if you try the multiplayer against knowledgable opponents. But it has an awesome singleplayer campaign and the graphics are excellent.

If you like sci-fi type universe, try warhammer 40.000 Dawn of war + winter assault / Dark Crusade expansions. I just finished these a few weeks ago and enjoyed it quite a bit.

The Tiger was fixed in another patch.

It's impossible to have true realism and balance for fun. The gfx are the most realistic of any game out there and I'd rather have a really fun game and just accept they decided to make a motorcycle a sniper hunter for balance reasons.

Another vote for Company of Heroes. Age of Empires III is pretty nifty too.

Star Wars is a fun RTS if you like Star Wars. If you're not a fan of Star Wars but like Sci-Fi, then WarHammer 40K may be to your liking.
