The only regret I have is that I didn't bother much with the singleplayer. It's the first game I've ever gotten and haven't finished (singleplayer-wise). Not that it's bad, just kind of run of the mill. Adds a nice introduction to units, but the story doesn't exactly pull you in.

barfo, just wondering why you don't like AOE3? I started from AOE and I've enjoyed them all. The only problem with AOE3 i see is it is very taxing on hardware with HDR and 1920x1200.
Yeah, hopefully they fix that by their next RTS game. (Not Asian Dynasties obviously).Originally posted by: Markbnj
My only problem with AOE3 was not being able to scroll out farther. Just felt so constraining trying to manage everything having to scroll so much.

Do you think you'll buy The Asian Dynasties, developed by Big Huge Games?

How far were you looking to zoom out? There was a camera zoom setting in the menu screens that let you adjust the maximum zoom. The default zoom is definitely limited though.
As a former addict of the Age series, AoE3 cured me of my addiction. I was crazy hooked on all of them starting with AoE1, but it just sort of fizzled out a couple months after AoE3's release. I was in a highly competitive gaming clan for Age games...etc. But Age3 wasn't what I was hoping for so I sorta slowly ended up leaving the series entirely. It's not a bad game, by any means... just not what I was hoping for after the awesome Age2 and, to a lesser some extent, AoM.
