Ak31a turns on by itself?

First time it happened, it was earlier in the morning so I thought I was possibly was sleepwalking or something and just blew it off. Then yesterday I get ready for bed turn off my comp, five mins later turns on again. Any thoughts?

Maybe the switch is going. Here's the test...shut your box down and then unplug the switch from the board. Does it turn itself on after that? If not, I'd say you found the problem and you can replace the case or the switch itself. If that doesn't fix it....hmmm?

There are BIOS setting which will do this, you might check to make sure that all of the power setting options are disabled.

Is your system hooked up to a network/broadband modem of some sort? You may want to check into diabling WOL (Wake On LAN) in your BIOS. That had me puzzled for the longest time. You don't even need that WOL cable hooked up anymore. As long as the card and the PCI slot is spec 2.2 compliant, the cable connection is not needed.

Just a thought.
