Albatron 6800u

Ok.....anyone here have one????

im thinking of upgrading to one, anything i should know about them (i've been told Albatron make good overclocking cards, but i've never had one!!!), but the 3 year warrenty can't hurt!!!

Also...will geting one of the Artic Cooling VGA Silencers (NV3 i think, not too sure....the one for the 6800 GT/U) make much of a difference from the stock cooler?????

Doesn't BFG make a 6800u ? They have lifetime warrenty on those ... FYI

if your looking for an overclocking card get the Gainwood, massive copper heatsink and two large fans, reasonably quiet too.

i go through this on every forum (i have posted this Question at about 3 places to got a wide range of responces...)

I'll start off with saying....i was asking about the ALBATRON 6800U...not the BFG, not PNY, not eVga, etc.etc...

(i said those 3 cause i can't get them without ordering on-line...which isn't going to happen...)

Im pretty sure all that i can get is, ASUS, Gigabyte, Albatron, Leadtek, Sapphire(not that they apply here), Triplex, GeCube, MSI, Legend and OEM...

and powercolor, and sparkle.....

Ok, i've just found a Sparkle for a little bit more (but its easier for me to get) and apparenlty its a Platinum Version....

Its bundled with some nice stuff (SCART Converter!) and its tells me all the info about clock speeds etc, the Albatron site didn't (i know they're supposed to be the same)

Wats this one like???
Wat makes a platinum different to a normal 6800u??

yeah, i thought about the MSI.....

1. I personally haven't had a good run with MSI...
2. Its about $100 more then i can get the albatron or sparkle...

would you be able to give me a Aquamark 3 stock score of you GFX card please "caz67"..

Get the Gainward Golden Sample...I have the 6800GT and it runs at 435/1.2 flawlessly...

Who cares what the warranty is like if you plan on overclocking it and changing the cooler?

Good point. If you're gonna ask for advice, you're gonna get opinion mixed in too...

Mine, Albatron makes a damn good product, so does Gainward, BFG, MSI, and many others.

Take the advice offered. If you got the $$ for an ultra, get a GT instead. Don't change out the cooler. Just buy a BFG and overclock the bad boy. You're covered for life; and you got a great card for resale in a year or two...

Now, i don't want a GT, cause the GTs have 2.0ns RAM and the Ultras have 1.8/1.6ns RAM (something along those lines), and this is the first time i've been able to get something close to a 6800ultra, so im not going to skimp...and i have decided not to get the cooler for it...
