aluminium is lighter, softer and more expensive, steel is harder and heavier and cheaper.
Aluminum is better if you want braging rights, and it is easier to dent.Does one deal with heat better than the other?

The reason I use Aluminum is not for heat - but for system weight. I use a full tower under the desk, and I move it in and out now and then.
$9~$15 and you are good to go with any case.That is why i bought i HAF-X with wheels, it saves me hurting my back.... at least that was the excuse i told the "mrs"

Nope! That will not work at all - the side door can't be opened and closed in such a carrier. I made my own - a wooden box with 4 casters.
Or, just mount wheels on the case bottom.
Or buy a HAF-X
