Watching a show of guys that broke out of jail and stole a car. They got pulled over for not wearing their seatbelt and then got caught. They were heading to Mexico and would have successfully escaped otherwise. Seatbelts save lives.

This, and it's such a habit I do it without thinking.

Sometimes I just want to move the car around in my driveway or something and I'll actually put it on because I don't even realize. In a way it's good that it's such a habit because I could go from moving the car to "hey I just remembered I need something" and then drive off.

I wish they'd enforce back seat passengers more. I get pissed every single time I am called a pussy for wearing my seat belt in the back seat.

In GA, an adult in the back seat isn't legally required to wear it. I do anyway.

I think you should be more concerned with why you are forced to sit in the back seat.

So used to it now not weiring it feels like I am missing or forgetting something and is not comfortable at all. Have to put in on even just driver half a mile or so. Just a reflex thing now.

LoL, last time I saw a back seat was when I couldn't drive yet and my buddy's car was packed. Otherwise the furthest I have ever sat was twice in the passenger seat when my girl was driving her car and taking me out.

I always do. I got a ticket once, but sometimes seatbelts are different in older cars.

My brother was a terrible driver and was in several accidents. After one particularly gruesome crash where the seatbelt broke a couple of ribs he decided he wasn't going to wear it any more.

His next crash killed him.
