Am I in trouble?

Check out the highlighted voltages. Note: Since having this PSU the +12V has always been 11.93 stable. Now I see it going to 11.99 according to HWMonitor. THATS FREAKING AWESOME. Almost. I would be more than happy to see that, but in the right side colum I see the max it showing me as is 14.22. Ought-Oh? After seeing that, directly above it I see the Max Column across the way from CPU VCORE reading 2.04. Whats up with that, does Corsair owe me a new setup, does this sound abnormal or something to worry about? The 3.33V line is also at 4.08V.

On the plus side after vista went corrupt and I reinstalled I got it back to what seems to be stable at 3.8 where it will stay.

why the hell can't I upload pictures grrr, brb with photobucket link.

never trust software readouts of your PSU. If you want to know the voltages on your psu, youl have to buy a multimeter. This also belongs in the PSU forum btw ...

Also, your CPU, running at 2v, do you really believe that ? Your mobo cant even give your CPU 2v ...

Actually, the mobo does say in the bios it is capable of 2.1 I believe. I have a fluke multimeter I just have no idea what to stick the leads on, I'm really not very knowledgeable when it comes to electricity on computers. I posted in the OC forums because that is essentially how I made the discovery so I thought maybe someone OC'ing stuff had seen it.

OK, take a free Molex connector, put the Black probe in the hole that the Black wire is going to, take the Red Probe and put it into the hole that the Yellow wire is going to. Yellow is 12volt, read is 5volt and Black is ground. Make sure the meter is set to DC of course, if it has a setting for 20mv use that, if not 200. LMK if you have questions.

yeah I did lower the vtt a notch or two, I'm stable at 3.8GHz which is a solid 1GHz over stock, I'm gonna leave it alone and be happy for a while. Once I get my GTX 260/280 for xmas I might tinker with stuff some more.

As far as stability testing goes, and I'm sure this horse has been beaten enough, so I'm asking for your personal opinions: I can pass numerous stability tests for an hour/2hours etc. Do I really need to pass a 24 hour Prime test. I am never going to be doing that hardcore of stuff on this computer. If I am playing a game, and the wife and kids are actually letting me play, I play a max of 5 hours once in a while, if it can handle that, shouldn't I be good?

If your not doing mission critical stuff on the PC, a coupla hours is just fine. I personally only run OCCT/Prime Blend and Memtest for about 2 hours each, if it passes that it is good to go for me. No need to wear the poor chip out before you use it

24 hours Prime always seemed stupid, IMHO. Why would someone do that?
I prefer 2 hours of OCCT and at least 10 tests in Linpack. If it passes that, then there is nothing in this world that can put it down.

I like to put my machines thru a prime95 cycle when I know I am leaving town for a day or two just to have another lengthy "spotcheck" that all is stable.

There is "stable" and there is STABLE!

I've seen 95 out of 100 passes on Linpack (note this would likely pass 10x Linpack). That's not STABLE! I've had Prime 95 fail after 20 hours. That's not STABLE!

I've even had a computer that passed 24 hours of prime95, then I started playing a game and it would crash within 30 minutes (this was before OCCT and Linpack as an overclock test existed).

I can live with 100 MHz slower, but a blue screen at the wrong time will have me wanting to break things. You can be happy with 2 hours OCCT and 10x Linpack. I'll be happy with 12 hours OCCT and 200x Linpack.

It's a matter of what level of error checking is acceptable. Some are willing to take more risk than others. I use your checks as "quick checks" but if I think I'm at a stable point, I'll do half a day of OCCT and then half a day of Linpack. Then if that's stable, I'll back off from there just to be sure.
