I posted here a month or two back about am2 crossfire boards. a few guys said late june early july. Just wondering if the boards got delayed again because i still havent seen any anywhere.

Anyone know when they will be released and what the price range would be?

An Anandtech reviewer told me last week that BIOS tuning was holding up availability. Some should be available within a week hopefully.

Edit: Nice choice on your future mobo. Hopefully the Asus one will come out early enough for me to grab it.

ya, im still going back and forth about Asus though. Some people told me they arent as good as they used to be and since its been 2 rigs since i had an Asus board i dont know about their current quality. Price is also a huge factor, trying to keep it under 1200$ Canadian

The Asus is the only one of the 4 announced with 3 PCI slots (2 available with Crossfire and 2 slot GPUs). Dunno how much of a factor that is for you, but I'll be having a sound card and TV Tuner, so I need those 2 slots.

In that case, go for the first one you can find. I heard that the SB600 is having supply problems, so don't wait too long to purchase one.

I'd love to get my hands on either the ASUS or DFI boards with RD580 and AM2. Though, I only have 2 weeks left to wait. =\

the 5000 is 282$ US now.. which once you get to retail in canada comes to about 400$ at Tiger and about 380$ on NCIX when they had them in stock.

I was told 2 weeks by a few different people. If it isnt ready in two weeks i might have to go with the ECS mobo that was linked here before.. Providing i can get it in Canada.

Wait wait wait. The M2R32-MVP Deluxe uses the ATI SB600, not ULI M1575. What gives? Wrong info on the site, or did Asus change it?

No no. I need to have my computer up and running by the time I go to college, so at the latest, I have to make a decisionand buy an motherboard in two weeks. I'm really hoping that some more RD580's come out before then.

ahh.. ya i dont really want to delay my build for too long or else it will throw off my budget that i set out. So if they arent out by august 30th i have to go SLI. Im sure they will be, and worst case senario i can just grab that ECS one.

gotcha... oh well i was hoping for some solid information on this as i will hopefully be building my new machine within a month or less so hopefully the boards will be available at that point

i also believe the link on the isorm.com site is just to show they will carry it, most likely it's not sold out, that's just the default "product not available" image that goes with their shopping cart

anyway, we just have to keep checking and waiting let's keep this thread alive as a place to announce the availability

Maybe we should make an new, official AM2 Crossfire thread? I could update the original post with links and such (it's not like I have a life or anything).

EDIT: It doesn't look good for us:

"The biggest problem for ATI though is availability. The fact that we've had to work as hard as we have to get hold of any Xpress3200 AM2 motherboard doesn't bode well for a regular user. I checked with some Swedish webshops and they are now listing beginning September as the date when the ECS KA3MVP Extreme will be available. Neither ASUS or MSI has been able to give me an date even on when I can get hold of a early review unit."

I might call some manufacturers tomorrow and see what they say about the matter.
