Amazon Dilemma....

I'll try to make this short.... back in April I ordered a number of things from Amazon, a few weeks later I place a 2nd order for few more things, a couple of weeks ago I place a 3rd order - bear in mind, that I'm paying by check, and I haven't sent a check in for any of the orders yet..... when I get the money together I'll send it in, plain and simple, right?

2 weeks ago, I decide that I need order #3, so I send a check off to them, only in the amount of order #3, and on the check I write the order number for order #3. Well..... over the past couple of days I have receive shipments from Amazon with ALL the items that I have ordered in the past 2 months!

On the invoices they are marked paid by check.... I only paid for order #3 - I don't even have enough to cover the other items, I barely had enough to cover order #3!!!

I can't imagine Amazon screwed up this big!!!! (were talking several hundred dollars worth of stuff!!) There is no way I can afford all these things right now, I can't even afford the shipping to send it all back to them... I will call them in the morning to get everything resolved, but was wondering if anyone else had this happen to them?

Never had anything like that happen. It's good to see someone doing the right thing and bringing their mistake to their attention.

Oh my god!!!!

I can't believe the incompetence of Amazon workers!!!! I just got off the phone with their customer service (thank god they have an 800 number!!) I explained to the call taker what happened.... their response? "We show that you paid for all the orders and the checks have cleared!!!"Again I reiterate to them what happened.....

Them: "Do you want to cancel an order?"
Me: "NO!"
Them: "We show that all the items have already shipped."
Me: "Thank you.... I'll try later!!"

IDIOTS!!!! I don't have the time to be messing with this right now - I'm moving next week, across county no less, and I'm not even half finished packing!!!

At this point I'm ready to say screw it, it's their mistake, if they don't catch it, tough!!! But, I know their going to find out and I'm not going to be able to pay for everything!!


Right now I am frustrated beyond belief!!!

I would call them once more. If the first tech doesn't understand the situation, ask for their supervisor. If they say there's nothing they can do about it, give up.

At some point you have to say "I tried."

Document your calls, get case numbers, names if possible, etc.

Make sure that you can make it clear that you did try, and that their support group is incompetent.

I'd say only order the stuff when you've got the money. Don't order from them and then send the money in when you feel like it. Thats just plain dumb.

dude just chill.
keep all the stuff.

If they realize their mistake in 1 week, 1 month or 6 months then pay up - you will have money then
Otherwise if they don't, Merry Christmas
