Mine was sold on Ebay the day I got it, unopened. Prices were trending down at the time so i got just under $300, but they are up again now as Xmas approaches.

For $99 it might be worth keeping, but on the market now it's worth over $200 so selling it was a no-brainer.

I suspected it would be a gimmick and I think a lot of owners are losing interest, but what really put me over was the terrible terms and conditions. Not only does amazon keep all the audio clips (not just their text), but also all your shopping list, to-do list stuff; absolutely everything. It's a huge data mine that really Amazon ought to be paying people to partake in.

Considering I deactivated my device online before even plugging it in my guess is Amazon won't send me any future products that require invites

completed listings are around $200 atm. you can get more if you can sell it locally. asking prices are higher from what i saw.

need to figure out if it's pre-linked to my amazon prime account before I buy it though.

We used my brother's Amazon account since that's the one with Prime. That message has never reached his Gmail account; which pulls from his Hotmail account. I bet he registered the Hotmail account with Amazon.

Hotmail has always been really bad with false positives when it comes to spam...

Didn't find it in his Hotmail account. It's possible that it was in the Spam folder for too long and got deleted.

The request page has been doing this for at least a couple weeks now:

Tried another browser (IE) and it does the same thing...even before I logged-in to Amazon.

I try the same URL with in a Chrome incognito mode window and it works. Makes me wonder if the request was b0rked somehow...

Nope...I added myself day one and still haven't gotten an invite. Considering the sheer volume of purchases I made last year alone on Amazon you'd think I'd rate.

I just ordered one - it will supposedly ship on March 26. Whether I keep it or not will mostly depend on what they are selling for by then (presumably less than they are now).

I never got an invite but checked my account today and it says it is ready for delivery in April.

So on the fence about it. I think for 100 bucks it might just be an impulse buy. I don't have an android phone so that will also be another issue.

Seem like a glorified alarm clock. They haven't added any new features to it. The review above mentioned the audio quality is lacking compared to a jambox. I really thought it would be a stellar speaker.

Amazon shipping estimates are usually conservative so I hope that is the case here. It said mine would ship mid-February but I bet it will ship a week or two earlier. My Kindle Voyage shipped 2 or 3 weeks before the original date they gave me.
