amd 3400+

my amd 64 3400+ wont go past 16000 on 3dmark 2001 se any one have any ideas on why?? stock gets it to about 15000

the video card is a radeon 9800 pro (stock speed) memory is corsair xms pc3200 1 gig (stock speed) cpu is at stock speed as well

is my cpu messed up or am i not doing something right???

I'm pretty sure I know what your problem is. I have had this problem before. Go to Start , Run, and type DXDIAG , then when the window comes up go to the DIsplay tab, check if you have AGP Texture Acceleration on. If you don't then you will have to install your chipset drivers for your motherboard. That will give you about 6,000 more points in your 3dmark, and you should be at about 21,000 which is the norm. score sounds fine to me...

no those scores are so low and my intel p4 2.4c even beat that at stock speeds so ill have to fiddle with it when i get home

hey guys thanks for the help i fixed it, i had to reinstall the agp drivers and the chipset drivers. now im getting 20719 for stock benchmark scores

Told You! I knew I was right ! Usually when you enable your agp drivers with that kind of setup with a 9800 pro you will get about 6 thousands more 3dmarks.
