AMD 3d usable?

Does this even come close to nVidias solution, all around?

I've got a 7970 running 2x Dell 30" currently, I'd like a 2nd 7970 and also a 120hz 24" monitor for 3d gaming. If all goes well with that, then I would probably pick up a total of 6 of those 24"'s and bring my 30"s to my office.

Or.. I could buy a decent nVidia card (570, 580?) and a 24" 120hz monitor for 3d usage until AMDs 3d support gets better or I realize that I don't care for 3d gaming.

Games I'm currently playing these days: Assassins Creed, Batman Arkham City, Deus Ex, Skyrim, Dirt3, Mafia II, and a bunch of new good games are coming out soon.. ME3, Ghost Recon, Darkness II, more and more..

Or I might just get a Panasonic Viera and run 3d off that.

Any suggestions? Thanks

i have an LG 3D cinema passive 3D display (1 for the wife too!) and an Asus 120hz 3Dvision. i can't really do a fair comparison since i can only compare passive 3D (polarized) to AS 3D. i will say AMD did a great job with it. only problem is nvidia supports a much larger library of 3D games out of the box. with the LG display, you have to rely on the tri def software. there's some user created profiles for 3d, but they're hit or miss.

like i said, i can't do a fair comparison, but there are AS 3D 120hz displays that AMD supports. the supported game library may be much higher.

also, being that the 3D cinema display is passive, i was not getting full 1080p. still looked really good, especially in movies.
