Does Nvidia have stealth marketers too?Can you prove that is true or not true?

We know for a fact there was......Nvidia got caught #; whether AMD has/is/or did something that we don't know and same fact we don't know if Nvidia is still doing it.

I understand what Keys is say; but at the same point he did call out and say he had proof of stealth AMDers - he got called on it; which includes myself calling him on it.

That is the only issue I have with Keys; you can't say something; then when called; not given proof; but a possible conjecture.

Now as I said; this is extending their pro hardware reviews to bloggers - video reviewers etc. If they are going to do it; they got to say they are part of it; as by law......

I think its a good idea - long as its not overboard.

This. It is quite similar to coworker with whom pretty much every dialog went like this:
Me: "Did you fix the problem I asked last week?"
Him: "Yes it is all working now. I had to work really hard over the weekend though..."
Me: "Great! Let's take a look!"
Him: "Well, you see, I cannot show it to you because of [insert random excuse]"
Me: "OK, but show it to me tomorrow, alright?"
Him: "Of course!"
Every day was the same dialog, just with different excuses. He is fired now btw.

Every review site I read specify where they got the sample from so that is cool. And AMD said that this will apply to the new advocate program too, didn't they? So I do not quite understand the sentiment in this thread.

LOL I've had to deal with those guys before....

Exactly I think at first there was a misunderstanding - people jumped to conclusions of if this is an extention of their program; wait what program.....

People didn't fully read it - I think this is a good step as long as people in it disclose they are in it...

I just hope the mods clean up this thread by acting upon the individuals causing the problem here *instead of locking it and allowing those individuals' actions to stifle a conversation like typically happens.*

No, I think it is best left up to peoples instincts and the "end game" is not to point fingers but to create more awareness about it.

Mission accomplished. Most people are aware that the possibility of AMD viral marketers exists on AT.

Can we get back to more important topics now like Titan's ludicrous pricing or Crossfire microstutter.

I don't see why these threads are even allowed to continue. A clearly known nvidia troll starts it, doesn't post in it at all, then shill accusations are made, with no proof being presented. This is a flame bait thread, nothing more.

Most people are also aware of the possibility of life on Mars, but we don't have any proof of that either.

All the more reason to divide the subforums up into Vendor for CPU and VC&G.

I saw the question asked some where (forgot where, sort of high on pain killers right now - side note: <3 u all)

The event happened March 7th, and I believe that is when they either selected people or screened people, so from that date to now, we either have shills hidden among us, or people waiting for verification and/or hardware so that they may shill to us and hopefully shill in the open.

Eitherway, would the real shill-shadies please stand up!

That solves nothing. The solution is just ignore the people who say something you disagree with. It's the freaking internet (yet, crap happens IRL too so it doesn't matter I guess) - news flash, chances are almost definite you will not convience them to your opinion, chances are almost definite they will not listen to you or respect your opinion, and in the end of the day all that is done is thread crap about the same nonsense by the same people all acting like some kind of hero for some corporation who would bend their mom's over in a heart beat if they could get even a penny more.

EDIT:
"You're right, PhysX provides a wealth of options for end users to expand their gaming experience."
"You're right, AMD offers great products at reasonable prices for consumers."

Two comments said by no one, ever! Haha.

That's my point. There is no way to get specific proof that viral marketers exist unless they decide to come clean or the implicated tech companies publish a list. I don't see this happening so there doesn't seem to be much point in continuing the conversation. Awareness has been raised ad nauseum.

Gotta feel for all those fanboys who devoted so much time defending ATI and they weren't even getting free product for it.

Does this imply all fanboys who devoted much time defending nVidia DO receive free product for it?

That explains alot!

I'd be proud to have an AMD Focus group type thingy as my sig,let alone cool new hardware to play with.
It would be totally uncool however to be a paid shill here and not declare it...even Keys at least has it in his sig and stands by it.
If there are any paid AMD guys here then for goodness sake just say you just joined, put it in your sig and lets move on.

Wow this post exploded since I was last here. The reddit page seemed very interesting, why are some people so angry. I thought someone here might be in this program and could give us more information.

I'm simply curious, from your point of view, did he start the thread trolling in his OP or do you just think this entire thread is trolling simply because of who he is? Would the OP have been any different if a pro-AMD fankid started this thread?

I probably based that on the poster, and his history.

Well, we now know that this advocacy program is not new. It has been in effect at least since November 7th 2012. Still, we see no mention in anyones sig, anywhere on the net in any forum being a participant in the advocacy group.

"Online Advocate Marketing

Our research indicates that consumers are highly persuaded by online experts and personalities, hence AMD’s advocacy marketing focus. These key influencers are AMD technology enthusiasts that are well respected in their communities: Twitter, Facebook, forums, blogs, etc
