I know it can asking a lot to expect rational thought out of you but how does what you linked even remotely prove that he was right? The AMD rep says that everyone is the program is required to disclose their involvement. Then he just ignores that and repeats the same rant he has been on for a while now.

If you believe him you are still doing so on faith because there is absolutely nothing to demonstrate that he is right. In fact AMD has publicly said the opposite now.

I am not trying to say that AMD did/would not do this. But the proof is just as non existent today as it was before.

Please point out where you see this open confession, because I really, really don't see it. What I see is their head of marketing saying that they don't use shills and require people in this program to disclose that fact.

That thread didn't prove jack squat. According to the AMD reps email they are required to disclose their status. Then apopping delved into a rant about anandtech forums and shills. Wow, nice proof.

We demand complete transparency in disclosing product sources, which is an FCC requirement in the US, the jurisdiction of our corporation. That is the same standard to which we hold all reviewers, advocacy program or otherwise.

That says it pretty plainly, where is the alleged 'confession'?

You have made the statement that I quoted several times in other threads, and each time I ask you to point me to REAL proof, your answer is basically "it's right in front of your eyes", and you are not able to point me to where I can see any REAL proof. I do not see an open confession about shills on this or any forum in that exchange. What I see in that email is him saying he is against shilling. So where is the confession?

Sorry but the POSSIBILITY that there are AMD shills on this forum is not REAL proof IMO. Heck there is the possibility that I'm an AMD shill (I mean I do have all AMD components so I must be suspect right??)...but is there any proof of that? No. What you are doing and saying is a case of believing what you want to even though you have no real proof.

Every time you make a statement like that, someone is going to ask you for proof, because shilling has the potential to affect this forum community in a negative way. If you are right about Mark's statements and some REAL proof does come out, I will be the first to apologize to you. Until then, I will ask for proof of it, as I have seen none so far.

Even if proof were provided today, you would have nothing to apologize for, thilanliyan. Until such time as concrete evidence is given that there are AMD shills present on ATF, all we can do is guess. Keysplayr keeps hinting that they're here but, just like Mark, he cannot provide proof.

Heck, I'm willing to bet Nvidia still has undisclosed shills floating around here. After all, they still have Rollo as a Focus Group member and he's the most famous shill there is. So obviously shilling doesn't bother them one bit.

Read his quote. He's claiming he essentially confesses, which the AMD rep's statement actually strongly refutes. Thus his claim is baseless, what else is he trying to do? I don't have a problem with it if it were true, but as it is it's entirely false and attempts to twist things 180degrees. My only thought is ok he's an NV shill trying to earn his free cards and discredit the competitor. How he can even try come up with that is pretty far fetched from this what's in the thread.

Welps, guess we're back into this issue full circle again. I remember when Mark was talking to Hook and it turned into a "hush hush, it was a mistake about an NDA breach, we're trying to fix out relationship with AMD" which even Keys himself got angry at. Then it turned into "we've been media partners with AMD for a while now, didn't you see we got an AMD APU for review" and now it's back to "the sole reason we got black listed is for publishing this article" which he wrote after he allegedly to be black listed by shills here.

Keeping track of all the twists and turns to this plot is rather interesting, I must say, and hopefully he does get some resolution to this trouble. After spending some time over at ABT I can't say I like the place much (actually just one specific poster makes it a chore, the rest are relatively harmless) but whatevs, this issue isn't going to die until someone brands an AMD Focus Group member clearly in their signature so Mark can get his satisfaction, Keys can get his satisfaction, and someone (aside JFAMD) gets stoned.

In the email that was quoted, do you see a confession of shilling? Most posters that responded to Keys asked for proof because he said "Mark was right" that there are AMD shills on this forum (unless there was some humour/sarcasm I missed in his post). Asking for proof of his claim, which is what most respondents said, is not a "cheap shot".
