amd insists remove graphic this way

after numerous correspondence with AMD tech they are still telling me

Use amd uninstall utility which will remove usb and chipset drivers

mouse monitor and keyboard usb

will machine still be working

Could someone walk me thru how to do this?????????

Yes. USB will still work, Windows will use generic USB drivers once the AMD drivers are removed.

just grab the chipset drivers from the same place you got the catalyst drivers from and reinstall before graphics drivers

I would say to not do this unless its a last resort on an AMD system. It pulls out ALL AMD drivers. On my system, it becomes a major pain to get everything back installed.

Also, 14.4 breaks windows for many unless their AHCI driver is unchecked. (happens to a lot of others as well). Its fine for newer chipsets.

As long as I uncheck the AHCI Driver, I never uninstall their drivers when upgrading, and have never had a problem (Until the new AHCI driver came out).

This. If you're updating the driver, use DDU or just install over your current driver. If you're replacing your graphics card, use DDU.
