Yes. USB will still work, Windows will use generic USB drivers once the AMD drivers are removed.
I would say to not do this unless its a last resort on an AMD system. It pulls out ALL AMD drivers. On my system, it becomes a major pain to get everything back installed.
Also, 14.4 breaks windows for many unless their AHCI driver is unchecked. (happens to a lot of others as well). Its fine for newer chipsets.
As long as I uncheck the AHCI Driver, I never uninstall their drivers when upgrading, and have never had a problem (Until the new AHCI driver came out).
