AMD motherboard onboard RAID comparison

I'm ready for a new computer and I've decided that good RAID performance is very desireable, but I'd prefer an AMD 64 (754) over a P4c.

Can someone outline the performace of the k8t800 pro controller relative to other onboard controllers as well as the ICH6 for me or just point to some nice links? I'm mostly concerned w/ 2 drive RAID-0 and processor load.

To save your breath, I'll tell you what I know (or think I know).

K8T800 pro had better performance than anything that NVidia/SiS has to offer?
ICH6 kicks ass, but I can't have it with an A64. *cries*.

I have a RAID0 (2x40GB Maxtor) running on ASUS K8V SE Deluxe, another dude has a RAID1 confused on an ABIT MAX3.... both running fine. On board controllers for both.
