Also this low Stutering there is new driver 13.5 beta2 (on LCD >4ms only , BTW i have CRT 24" i have no stutering at all lol but this is for Elite Players the CRT Trinitron Only 1920:1440 85Hz Solid Sharp Picture, but you have to had a large Desk lol) and remember that ms is from fade Grey to Grey not from colour to colour that stretch the ms from 2ms to 6ms at least http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/radeon_hd_7990_review,23.html

Yes, the WHQL drivers should have the stand alone CAPS installed along with them.

Well, it just goes to show that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Or, opinions are like... Well, you know the rest.

Most of us here can see this card for what it is and realize it falls short in some important metrics. It's not the flaming turd though that some are making it out to be. It's flaws, as many of us see them, are actually quite easily remedied.

Crossfire stuttering (MS): Seems like AMD already has a handle on this.
Throttling, O/C'ing: A simple bios rewrite would fix this.
Price: Mulligan on the original MSRP and set it lower on release.

With enough positive press and flashy advertising it might sell anyway. Just not to a lot of us. To be fair they fix the MS and most of us would just take 2x7950 instead. Avg. Joe off of the street is going to want "The Fastest Card on the Planet", though.

What does observed FPS equal then I ask? The whole issue with crossfire used to be that the observed FPS was much lower than the max fps metric.

Looking at the graphs I'd say the real winner was Titan. Comparable FPS, considerably less power usage, single card solution, better looking, and it comes with support for CUDA and PhysX.

On the flip side, the prototype drivers, which aren't available to the general public, not in prototype, alpha, beta, or otherwise have their own problems as well as solutions. Which is why they aren't available.

Perhaps once these drivers become public they'll have worked out the kinks, I'll wait to install my CF bridge until they're available however.

We're coming up on a year and a half, really don't see the need for celebration, it's pretty much a joke in tech life.

but physx is itself buggy and gives you unplayable fps and that's why only a handful of games uses it...simply put 95% of devs don't want to use physx,it's that buggy and marketing thing as "we give you physx on nvidia".

physx has been an abomination of nvi marketing since 2003 to notoriously trick customers...

and CUDA is been good for some software specific application as da-vinci code color correction,adobe effects and name a few..
But even in CUDA department,nvi is looking more or less irrelevant now as their one biggest plus finally dropped the balls on CUDA support,

"AMD & Adobe Collaborate: Next Version of Premiere Pro Supports Hardware-Acceleration on AMD Graphics",they claims opencl will be 20% or more faster than CUDA as nv proprietary-

Only gtx 690 is competitor to 7990....Titan is worst value for money card and largely worse performing whether you compare it with 690 and more so with 7990 malta...Titan is utter rubbish at $1K,when similarly priced 7990 comes to the party and also 300$ worth game bundle,which you also can get a resell value..

But man difference between 7990 and titan is large,and 7990 is faster than 690 but the difference is just 3-7 fps...7990 just got it's first driver 13.5B2,few successive driver optimization will boost it's performance more vs 690..
also,a/anandtech review,7990 besides gaming also topples 690 at ease in every compute related works as Folding @ Home,bitcoin mining,lux mark,cl bench,etc..
overall,7990 is much better choice than 690 with just using 16 watts more power than 690 and also quieter than 690 and also better performing even with it's launch driver..

Reading the techspot review,like most other review sites they also tested only radeon 7990 malta with 13.5B2,and the rest other gcn cards are done with same 13.3 beta 3 or previous drivers.
There will be a definite large boost for games(ex-crysis 3,TR,bioshock infinite,etc) if they or some revs tested gcn cards with 13.5B2 wrt 13.3B3
PGHD only tested skyrim on 13.5B2 for 7970 and 7870 and it gave 10% performance boost...

Even with it's first 13.5B2 driver,7990 is rocking the show...

so if you don't believe Kitguru review,then it's not my concern

7990 is the fastest card till now(except CFX)...hardwareheaven does the most extensive testing among all other reviews(min,max,avg fps+frame time observed fps) and 7990 came on top of 690...
