you're confusing me! where did you read that 256k cache thing?
in the link provided, it lists 2000MHz clockspeed and 512k cache, or is that not per core but total for the two cores? ah well, makes sense i guess as it can't be equivalent to the 3800+ after all.
but following AMD's rating numbers for higher models, the 3600+ is supposed to be 1.8GHz with 1MB L2 per core, equivalent to the Opteron 165. price of the thing should be somewhere below $285 (which was the price of the 165 i think). imagine if they really released such a beast! this time around with enough availability and all, unlike the opteron
