For anyone who read or posted in my previous "need help" topic, you should enjoy this story. It turns out all along that the culprit was..................my keyboard and my TV! It turns out that I forgot to enable USB keyboard in the BIOS. I had done so before, but I thought the computer was freezing because I couldn't see "press any key to boot from CD," because the image on my other TV got cut off at the bottom. A friend of mine was helping me try to figure out the problem, trying numerous things. Then I noticed that although I couldn't type, the cursor was still blinking. He asked him if I had a PS/2 keyboard laying around, and I tried it, and it worked. All that worry (and almost RMAing) for a silly keyboard!
