Had single IDE drive. Wanted to create RAID mirror so I purchased two identical 160gig HDs (both SATA). I installed the first, formatted it and copied the entire master to the new drive using Ghost. Next, I removed the old drive and booted off the new drive. Worked great. I then installed the second drive, and formatted it. Re-booted. Upon re-boot, there is an option that says "Press F4 or CTRL+S to enter RAID Bios". I CAN"T GET IN!!! I've flashed my bios to the newest version. I've updated the driver on the RAID Controller. I've made sure the normal BIOS settings are correct but I can't enter the RAID BIOS to create the array. I do not want to do a clean install because the whole point was to actively back up what I already have. I can't sit there and reinstall the OS, all the drivers, all of ther programs, then all the data on the old HD just to create a RAID. I'm tempted to just leave my system as is (with two working 160 gig drives) and just be careful about manually backing up important files. I've been on ABIT forums, searched the net and found nothing similar (most have problems booting when they switch to SATA but I've had no problem at all). Any suggestions? Should I just purchase a RAID controller and be done with it?
