One of the main reason I bought the 5s was for the camera. From the reviews I've seen, it's the best smartphone camera.

Sounds like it. Amazing; it was pretty much the ONLY thing the 1020 had going for it.

I think "best smartphone camera without a bulge" is a much safer claim. The 41 megapixel camera on the Nokia 1020 with real OIS (optical image stabilization) and a Xenon flash (not just puny LED's) is a better phone camera by a good margin.

But the iPhone 5S' camera should be an improvement over the 5/Galaxy S4/etc. It's probably a tad better than the LG G2's camera but it would be interesting to see comparisons as the G2 also has real OIS.

Well, I read some reviews that say the Lumia 1020 camera is quite slow, and significantly slower than what you'd hope a quick and dirty cell phone camera would be.

Also, I hope for MS/Nokia's sake that photo in the previous post isn't representative, because the colours are simply wrong. Low light clarity is not everything.

Mind you, that's with flash. I usually prefer shooting without flash if possible.

Djay and Vjay may be the first 3rd-party apps to meaningfully take advantage of the A7's ARMv8 goodness.

The apps' potential is lost on me, unfortunately, but I hope many more A7 optimized apps will come soon. All I can do with this extra power for now is to check Facebook more quickly.
