I have a sneaking suspicion that if I/we start a new thread everytime a SBVfT member is outed as a liar, the mods ain't gunna like it too much.

Gardner has questioned Kerry's integrity; has claimed personal knowledge of the circumstances leading to Kerry's first Purple Heart; and has spoken with authority about the events leading to Kerry's Bronze Star. Fellow anti-Kerry Swift Boat Vets member Larry Thurlow has also cited Gardner as eyewitness support for his accusations against Kerry and against Kerry's first Purple Heart. Yet while Gardner did serve as a gunner under Kerry's command on PCF (Patrol Craft Fast) 44, he has admitted that he -- just like the rest of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth claiming that Kerry is lying about his medals -- was not present for the incidents leading to Kerry's receipt of any medals or any of Kerry's three Purple Hearts.

Gardner admitted that "he was not on the boat with Kerry during the incidents for which Kerry got his medals," reported The Columbus Dispatch on August 6. And as a guest on Michael Savage's radio show, Savage Nation, on August 2, Gardner said that of Kerry's three Purple Hearts, he could only attest to the first; Gardner later admitted to Savage that he was "not on the boat with him [Kerry]" when that injury occurred.

I agree with you, but that same rule would prevent Rip from starting a new thread every time Matt Drudge, or one of the hacks on WorldNetDaily made up a "news item" about Sen Kerry.

rip how on earth can you be defending these guys, all of them have changed their story (well maybe all but 1 who has had a hard on for kerry) ... one by one they are all proven to be liars.

i am well aware of how patrol boats work, ...i work on a ship myself for the service. i am a crewmember and when we go in groops to someplace, i don't claim to have served with the captain of another ship, if there was someone in charge of our whole group then i would say i served under that person but basically these guys are full of sh!t, just about every respectable news source has come out with it, and now that the new kerry commercial is on, Rove is crapping his pants about it and bush is calling to denounce ALL 527 ads, what happened to freedom of speech? ...

I will not go back and count, but will speculate that out of your last 200 posts, more than half of them will be about you whining or biatching about Rip or Hs or some other conservative poster. DonVito, since you do have the choice to respond, or not to respond, perhaps you are the problem that you perceive.

The posts that you used to make, the ones that you used your intelligence on, they were much better received than your current biatching and whining posts.

I truly hope that relying upon your intellect to make your point wasn't to big a chore and abandoned for your current style, for that would be a true waste. :gift:

I'd be perfectly happy with a SINGLE swift boats thread to cover both sides? God this is getting silly and I think 90% of us agree that this is a total distraction from the issues. So why are you joining in?
