Android - Disable Update Notifications?

I don't want my S4 to tell me when it updates Apps. It's annoying.

I know I can go into Applications and uncheck Show Notifications but that seems to turn off Updates too. Is that correct?

I want the phone to Update the Apps, I just don't need it to tell me it has done so.

I still want notifications for calls, emails and texts.

Try turning off notifications in the Play Store settings.

I don't see why unchecking show notifications would turn off the auto-updates. Try it out again. Apps don't get auto-updated if they require new permissions.

By important updates they just mean push notifications. It shouldn't affect the Play Store's ability to auto-update. You'll want to get to that same screen for the Google Play Store app and uncheck its box for Show notifications since it's the one that generates the notifications for when apps get updated.
