Oh fvck yes. God I hate those. And you know the drug costs more now when you need it, since they have to roll the cost of advertising into the perscription. And the advertising does NO GOOD AT ALL so its not going to cover its own costs with increased sales. Who wakes up and goes "I need to try some new perscription drugs today...I'll ask my doctor about the ones on TV and then pretend I have the illness they treat until he perscribes them for me".

Who in the hell is in charge of those companies marketing departments and why aren't they wrapped a plastic bag at the bottom of a river somewhere? I mean, all perscription drug advertising marketed at patients by all rights shouldn't even exist...but at least they increase sales when they convince morons that eat to much chili that they have acid reflux disease.

that's because if they don't tell you what it DOES, they don't have to list the SIDE EFFECTS. And Vioxx sounds harmless as long as it's not followed by someone muttering "may cause sweating, heart failure, and death"
