Hey all,
This is getting really annoying. Built a new system and it seems like as soon as I solve one issue that I think is causing me lockups I develop another.
My current issue is that my machine will lock up but it's a slow process. Give you an example. I have WoW opened and playing in one window and my browser / IM etc in the other. Everything goes fine until "something" occurs. When whatever happens occurs it's only a matter of time before the system completely locks up.
If I try to do anything with the taskbar it goes non responsive. Ctrl-alt-del does not work. WoW will be fine for a while until I assume it has to use windows explorer for some reason.
The reason these are so annoying is because I have to hard reboot. Nothing else seems to help and I have no idea how to track down what is going on.
I've updated all my drivers, updated the firmware for my SSD. Bios seems to be the latest. I just don't get it.
The most recent crash was when I tried to open my Visual Studio to do a little programming. It never opened and I couldn't shut it down and my browser which was open at the time also went non-responsive as soon as I tried to interact with it.
Anyone have any advice? Maybe some logging program I could run so that when this happens I can at least see what's going on and pin point the issue?
