I can't believe these things still have issues after all the crap folks went through upon initial release!!!
I bought an Antec P150 case that includes the Neo430- and stuffed it with an Intel board and Dual Core with 4 hard drives and an Nvidia 7600GT. I had no issues with it from the outset. Fast forward to 6 months ago- and I notice that it was now taking 3 or 4 tries to power up my PC- before I would get power or lights.
In January I built up another Intel but with Quad Core, and an Antec Solo case. I took my drives out of older PC, along wiht my 7600GT, and basically left my older P150/Neo430 combo as a PC to be used by my wife. It still had on board video, 2 gig, and a 160 gig drive. I could no longer get the PC to power up AT ALL. I RMA'd the supply, and Antec sent me one.
The Replacement took 4 tries before I could power up the PC!!! I called Antec again, and this time they would send me another. Becuase I specifically asked about possibly not having enough load on the Supply- was this still an issue with these units???? Answer was we will test out supply before sending.
Received another replacement a week and a half ago- all this one does is cycle the CPU fan every 2 seconds. I cannot get it to power on PC. That night I called Antec again, and was transferred to a manager (Kyle O). He said unit was tested and he would have something else sent out to replace this. At this point it would either be a Basic 500, or an EA something. He gave me my choice of either 80 MM fan, or 120 MM fan, but no detachable cables. I said I would take the unit with 120 MM fan. I have no idea what is going on- having been a week and a half since. I have left voice mails twice, spoken with him once, and I still have no ship notification that SOMETHING has shipped.
BTW - to eliminate ANY issue of being a system problem- I plugged in a Delta Supply borrowed from another machine- and it powers up immediately.
I have used Antec Cases almost exclusively in PC's built for customers and for myself. I might have to consider this. While I applaude their efforts to TRY getting a unit to me- the fact that nothing is happening after a week and a half upsets me.
