Well, actually it does mean more watts as in more watts available. If a 500 watt is 70% efficient then it has less watts available then a 500 watt that is 80% efficient. Don't try to mince words, more efficien does = more watts for the computer to use.

Actually, it doesn't. A 500watt power supply that is 75% efficient will pull closer to 625 watts from the wall, however it can only supply 500 to the computer.

Power supplies are rated by their output power:

from an Antect spec sheet - 380W continuous output @ 50C ambient temperature

Well I just stepped up and ordered one today from Newegg for 159 shipped. I'm slowly piecing a new system together so I'll post some pics as I go along.

Technically speaking that case is amazing, however it is FUGLY IMO. Color scheme and drive bays look way too tacky for my tastes. I hope they offer the same technology in a better looking case, (or perhaps even all black or aluminum as stated before, then I may invest in one.

I bought it already, and I have invested in some flat black spray paint

I got my case yesterday. It's better looking in person than in pictures and is VERY well designed. The cable hooks are an excellent touch and the drive suspension seems sturdy enough. The front bezel also seems to have better hinges than some others I've seen. I like the spring-loaded screws on the left side of the case but wish the other side had them as well. Thumb screws for the expansion slot covers would also have been better than standard screws. A removable drive cage would have been nice so I wouldn't have to remove the bezel and fan cover to install the hard drives. Those are all minor preferences and quibbles with an otherwise EXCELLENT case.

It is definitely quiet. Sadly, that's because my PSU is dead (I think). I've been reading around and there are 3 reports of other people getting DOA PSU's with this case and it's only been available for about a week.

Other than it being dead, I like the modular design of the PSU.

I have had this case since the beguining of the week. From newegg. I think it is thebest box I have ever had, and I have probably gone through a dozen cases easy.

I personaly like the white finish. It is something different.

The cable hooks are nice. I wish they had left an additional 1/8" clearance on that side of the case to run the cables easier. As it they are a little tight to pass.

I also whixh thet had placed the nifty thumscrews on the other side of the box. I immediatly replace the two screws with run of the mill thumscrews.

I have not used the suspension bands for the drives. Instead, I am using the drive trays, with have very good screw suspension and go in and out very well. I love these drive trays. I wish they also included two more 5/3.5 adapter trays for the at least two more 5" bays. As it is, I think I am going to buy one of the Lian-Li 2x5 to 3x3.5 bay adapters and mount them with the provided rails.

For me the money was well spent .

Don't make the mistake I made and try to set up a brand new system in this case after a very long day at work. Turns out the problem was not with my PSU but between the computer and the chair.

I'm declaring it a brain fart, and I'm sticking to that.

^^ LOL

the appearance is the only thing that's stopping me from getting this case. the look of the P-180 is more to my liking.

Unfortunately the black P180 is $160. You can get the normal P180 + Neo 430HE for around 200$ if you shop around.

I'll say what some others have said, it's an elegant case, but it's not for everyone. It really does look better in person but the white takes a little getting used to for a lot of people.

Now that it's up and running, it is VERY quiet. I'm only running it with the 1 120mm fan in the back but have some Nexus 92mm fans on order for the front. I'll put one in and check the temps (which aren't too bad right now, but I haven't started overclocking) and if it's okay, I'll keep it with just one. If I need more cooling, I'll add the second 92mm fan.
