Looks like deal is over (at least temporarily). Current price is now $127.30, pre-shipping.

But TechOnWeb's prices have been varying all over the place on this case, so keep checking.

Oh yes I am, based on people's replies to my various threads at various sites... I ought to start my own compatibility chart.... lol

what PSUs and mobo are having issues....

Well the Asus A8N series of mobos and just about any P/S have "cable reach issues" for the main P/S power cable and the 12VATX cable. I know that the Seasonic S12 430 and 500 will "work" with the Asus A8N's in the P180 but just barely without extendors for BOTH the main power and 12VATX cable.

Based on my final price, I think they add the shipping to the case price and then calculate the tax. Bah.

Do they sell 12v extension cables? Mine reaches, but just barely, I'd like to get an extender so I can route the wire better than I am right now.

Sigh. You guys just cost me $128... Oh well. After going on 7 years, I guess it IS time to upgrade the old In-Win Q500 (orignal version). When I first built that computer, I had a 266mhz Celery in it... OCed to 448 of course! (How many of you gents are getting 68% OCes these days??? I've lost count of the number of CPUs (and even more motherboards!) that have called this case home over the years. Let's see: 1) 266 Celery. 2) 450 mhz P3. 3) 800 mzh P3. 4) 2.0 ghz P4. 5) 2.4 ghz P4 Northwood. 6) 3.0 ghz P4. 7) 3.6 ghz P4. I THINK that is all. I do know I went through at least 5 P4 motherboards (I still have 4 of them...) for various reasons, but I don't have a CLUE how many P3 boards I went through. The memories...

Oh well. This old girl will find her new home in my server (getting back the last P4 board she had along with the 3.0 ghz P4). Or maybe I should say my server will find a new home in this old girl. Either way!

I AM looking forward to playing with a new case. I REALLY hope the airflow is MUCH better in the P180 because even with the mods (blow hole with 120mm fan blowing out along with other mods to improve airflow and cooling), this Q500 is VERY marginal with the 3.6 ghz. Even with the Zalman 7700 heat sink on her. The silly thing still hits the throttle if I hit 100% utilization for more than two minutes or so.

WOW. Just a friggn' $12.95. Get it sleeved for just $8 more!
Buy 3 of these and for that cost you can get a 600W Ultra X-Finity PSU... AR w/ free shipping.
http://shop2.outpost.com/product/4490956
(Supposed to be better quality than their Ultra-X unreliable power supply as the components are of higher quality.)

Anyways my point is: wow what a rip off for just 2 cables. And sleeving 2 cables for $8 is insanely expensive. I guess they are that rare in the market...

Actually, they're the least expensive set of power cables I've been able to find. You might be thinking of a 4pin molex extension or y adapter for $3-4 but these cables are a bit more heavy duty. And if you don't want to pay the money for them to take apart the cables to sleeve them, you can always do it yourself.

For the money, I would spend $20 more and get a Fortron 500w Blue Storm over that piece of crap psu.

Does anyone know what reliable vendor sells 4pin molex to 3pin converters so that I can plug the 4pin tri-cools into my mobos fan header connectors ???

I do realize I won't be able to utilize the mobo's fan monitoring but at least I could "free up" having to use some of the Power Supply's 4 pin molex's to power the three Tri-cools.

Oh, and besides performance PC and NewEgg, is there any vendor that sells 4 wire/pin extenders if I need more reach with from one of the p/s's 4 pin molex's ???

Thanks

Hey
Thanks for the deal, looking into buying it and had a few questions. Do any of you have the recent philips 30" silver HDTV. How similar in color does this seem? Also about the front audio ports and firewire/usb ports. Does this come with cables? My motherboard has the right headers but I dont have any cables for them. Or is there some other site I could use to get the right cables.

Eh, I thought all Ultra PSUs were crappy, but I was proved wrong. The X-Finity line is actually decent/pretty good. The regular Ultra-Xs are poor/unreliable.

Thank you for the very fast response...I assume this has already shipped correct?

Do you know where it is shipping from

Neal
Got reply on the issue..this was/is a warehouse situation...apparently once the confirm payment and send info to the warehouse..they label the website invoice shipped...but sometimes the warehouse is slower??
anyway..I will say there email response is excellent

I personally prefer they not labeled as shipped till leave the warehouse...I figured it was in trasnit as of tuesday(sometime) not late wed pm....with tuesday shipping there was an outside chance of Fri delivery....

I never get lucky with shipping also takes max time..well it seems that way

------------------------------------------------------

I am interested in a Antec P180 computer case. I own a OCZ 520w
Powerstream
PSU. I have seen reports of cable issues, ie the 12v 4pin cpu
connector and
ATX power supply connector may not reach with the PSU at the bottom..I
own a
MSI Neo 2 Platinum NForce 3 mobo. The ATX connector is mid mobo or
so..I do
not think this is an issue but I am very concerned the 12v 4pin
connector
need at the top of the mobo (for the CPU)...do you know since you are a
reseller of both this case and PSU whether the cable length on the OCZ
will
be an issue

Thank You
