Ok, so right now im pretty set on gettting a ThermalTake Tsunami, but the Antec P180 is very intruiging to my, and i find myself wanting one, but

theres no side window, and honestly, i cant live without a side window (i need to show off my stuff)

i would buy this case in a heartbeat if i could get it with a side window, but im not going to dish out more then $150 for it (its like $200 or so for a side windowed one)

Anyone know of any deals out there, or good alternatives (the Silverstone TJ-06 looks nice, and im also tempted to buy that as well)

Ouch.

I actually had the same problem. I got the TT and then picked up the p180, because the Tsunami wasn't cutting it. I'd never go back in a million years. The build quality on the Antec is leagues better than that of the Thermaltake. p180 all the way.

Get the P180 without the window. And if you want to show of the case insides, you either gotta pay the price of the windowed P180, or you just gotta deal with not having a window, or move to something else in your price range.

Personally I'd get the P180 without the window, but its your choice. Good Luck.

yea, im not going to be cutting into a $130 case at all

What??!?!?! That is part of the fun. If you want a window, you have to be willing to do it! I'm doing it, on a case that is so rare that I can't find side panels and stuff for, and I'm modding the side. If you mess up or something, I'm sure it wouldn't be *that* hard to find another side panel to work on. Those are incredibly popular cases, and the manufacturer could easily sell you one... IMHO

A $130 case is nothing. I have cut my Sonata to pieces, and it was $140 at launch.

If you get a computer and what a window, don't be a pansy. Either pay $60 for it, or do it yourself for $15-$20. It's not hard at all.

Hmm, nevermind, was looking at the windowed P180 more, and its not as much of a case with the window, loses its appeal, so i guess ill stick with my ThermalTake Tsunami (even the P160 doesnt look as good with a window)

That is the whole point of modding though. I've only completed the sleeving of two power supplies in my system, but I'm loving it so far. And it is so nice to know that you did it yourself. So I don't care if I mess up my $600. I'll just make the whole bigger, and use a larger window. hehehehe

I see your point. But in all honesty, fvck em. I'm doing this for me. I want my stuff a certain way... That is basically it. And I want to see if I can make a window, and do fans in the windows, and all that. My machine exists purely for me. Yeah, it's nice showing it off on here, but I've had maybe 5 people tell me what they think about my machine. So I don't worry about it too much... You know what I mean?

i bought the Tt tsunami for the same reason as yours. the fit and finishing of the Tt is mediocre at best, but does look good from a distant. i returned it for a CM cavalier, with the window of course. the cavalier is very nice case. however, after 6 months, i got tired of the bling bling because i was the only one staring at it and staring at it too much. i sold the CM. and guess what i ended up with.... an antec p180

my conclusion from my experience w/ Tt. CM, and antec...

Tt sucks. i recommand CM and antec. CM uses better material for their cases and has good build quilty while antec uses a lot of plastic, but imho, they have better design and better fit and finish than CM. of course, you can also go with lian li. i'm sure they are nice, but i dont have any personal experience with them, and they are too much for my blood

the purpose of a computer case is to cool your components nicely first, then look nice doing so. Make sure you aren't compromising your needs for your wants...

the armor case is out of the question, i dont need a full tower ATX (at most all i need is 5 5.25" bays and 2 3.5" bays, nothing more)

still looking though, i finally have a budget for my computer, so i know what i can get and cant get...........

is the ThermalTake Shark any good of a case?

i like it somewhat, but is it any better then the Tsunami?

I bought a non-windowed P160 for $55 after rebates at CompUSA and then bought a window online for $25.

I always choose substance and functionality over style, but these are really nice cases for the price.

I remember seeing a p180 with a window. I'll try to see if I can find the link, I think it was 150. You do realize this will make your case considerably louder right?
