I just wanted to know if this was a good case. I heard Antec was good and i like the fact that the case will be black. Does the faceplate cover any beige components that I might have?

It works great. And yes, the front door will close thereby covering any beige stuff you have. I have this same model in beige, and I love it.
I use this case in all of the high-end, custom systems my business builds. This particular case is one of the best, if not the best, case I've ever used. The construction quality is superb: the edges are rounded, the finish is durable, there is no cheap flimsy plastic, and it?s constructed of high quality steel!
Except for the door. The top is held on by a thin flimsy piece of plastic. Took my son all of about 10 minutes to break one off once. Luckily Antec shipped me a new one free of charge. Other than that...great case.
I have the the sx1040. I got a beige one and painted it black myself. Just so you know, most people claim the antec version is charcoal and not black. That may not be important to you but alot of people like dark black.
have this case and love it - tons of room, very high quality construction, great airflow. the front door completely covers all drive bays as well as power & reset switches - very nice if you're like me and have little kids w/curious fingers around! fyi, the black isn't a true black but more of a charcol - i got a black fd to match it but the fd is a true black & is much darker than the case. i like the case color, just going to be hard to find components to perfectly match the color.
Great case, BUT it does weigh a TON and will be a burden for LAN parties or moving. I didn't think the size or weight would be much of a burden but then I forgot how usualy tired you are after lan party at 5 in the morning...
I have that case and it totally rocks.. thee's a door on the face plate that covers all... very sleek,elegant and with that famous roomy cut free interior that Antec is famous for. Btw, it is charcoal,not jet black but I consider it the nicest case I've owned to date and I have 2 other antec full tower models.
Is there any advantage in buying the Antec over the Enermax? Enermax is almost $30 cheaper and $4 less to ship @ Newegg not to mention the fact that it comes with an AMD-Approved Power Supply.
Does the Enermax come with those neato little purple fan holders?
dont know about the enermax, but i have the antec 1030b and i have to say its one of the best investments i've ever made in a case (with the exception of my supermicro 750a - man, i miss that case).
I have the full tower from Dragon, its the same case as the Antec case. It seems that there are at least three companies that buy this model from the manufacturer one being Dragon and other being Antec.
One other friend of mine has the same case and two others have the midi tower.

Totally agree but thats why I always lock mine, the lock feature is great for those little guys running around the house that love to push buttons.
I just built my 1st system with that case except in white. Very easy to use, staight foreward, and the only problem I had was the wiring harness on the PS. I didn't know were all the connectors went, a short trip to their webpage solved that with a wiring diagram.
Oh, John... I believe that Chieftech is this cases manufacture, antec uses Chieftec cases with an Antec PS.

I got a chieftec last week, black one too. It's very nice indeed. The only slight problem is that it's easy to leave fingerprints on the side panel...
I own both the Enermax version and a 1040B. Welcome to the Rolls Royce of cases. I believe CrapUSA had the 1035 on sale, the Antec 350w version for $99 or so. Not sure if it is on sale, but thats the way to go. $99 and no shipping charge. Once you go with this case, it will be tough to use any other non aluminum!
