ANTEC SLK1650 PSU

Ok. I jump on the *HOT DEALS* bandwagon and buy an ANTEC SLK1650B for $37 after rebates. Stock PSU is a 350w SmartPower. Nice. (Actually I'm building two similar systems. My other target case is a Lian-li PC-V1100B. Sweet)

Now ... I have no clue if the ANTEC PSU can handle the components I want to shove into it. Here's my list:

ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe
AMD Athlon64 3000+
Thermalright Heatsink (not sure which one yet)
1GB DDR400 CL2 (probably corsair)
2x 200GB Seagate SATA drives (RAID 0)
2x 250GB Western Digital SATA drives (RAID 0)
GForce 6800GT 256MB (not sure which manu)
NEC ND-3520A (DVD DL)
Lite-On Combo Drive (CD Burner, DVD ROM)

My guess is probably not, although it is possible... that power supply has only 16amps on the 12v line. Plus you will be running 4 hard drives, which use a lot of power.

It's going to be close... I'm using a True430W with a 6800GT SLI configuration and was pushing the 12V rail pretty hard. If I really hammer CPU and SLI fill-rate simultaneously, I have freezes and such. Considering you have four HD's, I'd plan on something with a beefier 12v rail. Personally, I'm going for the OCZ PowerStream 600W, but I think that would be overkill for your setup (unless you plan going SLI later). Maybe the PowerStream 520W if you don't plan on SLI.

Even the powerstream 520 watt is way overkill. The 420 shouldl be fine if you're only running 1 graphics card. Even if you plan on upgrading to two, i would think it would still be able to handle to 6800gt's.

It's prolly ok, but with that many HD's you might want get somthing a bit stronger just to be safe.

the SL350 that shipped with my 1650B (outpost hot deal) has 21amps on the 12v.
Label reads +5V/35 +12V/21 +3.3V/28.
