Hello,
I have a Super Lanboy case. I'm having some troubles connecting the front panel audio connectors to my motherboard. I think that they front panel audio cables are AC97 and not HD audio. My motherboard seems to have connections for HD audio only, is it possible to use AC97 pins on a HD audio connection? I have an MSI P45-C53 motherboard.
Could this be a software issue? I mean I haven't downloaded any realtec drivers, my mother board back panel sound just worked from the start (at least i don't remember installing any drivers)!
If that is not possible, my second thought would be to open up the front panel and to replace the audio ports with an HD audio connection. Is that possible at all? Would anyone know where I could find new audio ports which would fit the front panel?
Many Thanks.
