Well, both of the Serious Sam games are co-op. I would imagine that you can play games like Diablo 2 and Starcraft co-op.....you'll be playing against the computer. I think there is a mod to play Unreal in co-op. Those are the only games I can think of but most of the games like Diablo 2, Warcraft, Starcraft, Dungeon Siege, etc.....all support multiplayer that *could* be considered co-op.
CGW this month slams Gearbox for their second-rate development skills.
Co-op: UT and UT2K4 (or Quake2 for that matter) you could play on the same team against bots. Onslaught in UT2K4 is very fun, but much more so if you have 6+ real humans on both sides.
Not sure how much time you will have but Icewind Dale 1& 2, Baldur?s Gate, Neverwinter Nights, and I think Dungeon Siege have internet/lan play. If everyone was in the same room it could make planning the battles easier.
Rogue Spear (and it's mission packs) and Ghost Recon have Coop game play. GR even has spawned Coops tournaments that have become big hits in the GR community.
Ghost Recon if you want an awesome co-op team based FPS against the computer. You have specific missions and goals.. its not just DM vs a bunch of bots.
