>>>I haven't seen a single wedding ceremony in my family because of the so called "purity" requirements. Needless to say, that didn't settle with me to well <<<
Doesn't bother me in the least that after 31years of marriage to my LDS wife, we have not had a temple wedding. But most faithful members of the church will find that alarming. Fact is, I believe if you are true to yourself and believe that Jesus Christ is the savior and died on the cross for all mans sins, and that by this gift and the Grace of God, all men will be saved, (with the exception of those who are known as the sons of perdition) then He will sort things out in the next life. If it is His will that I be married for time and all eternity to my wife, and all my children will be sealed to me in the next life, than a way for that to happen will make its self available.
In the mean time, I will continue to be who I am, and do the best to be what I can be, given the limitations of my mortality and sinful condition.
It upsets me that this Church and its members are so maligned because of misinformation and ignorance. I have yet to hear someone on this BB take on the Lutherans, or the Baptists, or the Seventh Day Adventists, but its like open season on Mormons. Fine. Perhaps they are a pecular people, but a finer bunch of people I have yet to meet in this life.
