so, looks like i may just pop a 560 into my current rig? i play at 1920x1080 and would like high settings.
So it says a gtx460 should be able to handle ultra at 1680x1050. That's assuming that the cpu isn't a bottleneck. How does my Q6600 stand? Would I need to lower the settings to high?

e6400 @ 3.0
4gb ram
8800 gts 640
i was thinking of upgrading the whole thing but would rather wait until after christmas...
can anyone tell me how that phenom II they reference matches up to my e6400? the amd chips are all over the place.

Is it overclocked? If you're running 3.0Ghz it looks like you could if you run low or no AA or FXAA.
So this will be the first new game I've bothered to install since my last system upgrade last year. Based on the specs above, sounds like my Radeon HD 5770 and Intell I7 860 should be able to handle this. Hopefully I will not be sleeping tonight and instead will be playing me some Skyrim.Recommended Specs
Windows 7/Vista/XP PC (32 or 64 bit)
Processor: Quad-core Intel or AMD CPU
4GB System RAM
6GB free HDD space
DirectX 9.0c compatible NVIDIA or AMD ATI video card with 1GB of RAM (Nvidia GeForce GTX 260 or higher; ATI Radeon 4890 or higher).
Minimum Specs
Windows 7/Vista/XP PC (32 or 64 bit)
Processor: Dual Core 2.0GHz or equivalent processor
2GB System RAM
6GB free HDD Space
Direct X 9.0c compliant video card with 512 MB of RAM
My PC can handle Skyim at ultra if I set the shadows to high. With shadows at ultra there is just too much slowdown for me.

Is it me, or does this game need more than 4 gb of system memory? My rig starts lagging after ~2 hours of continuous play...
ATI xfire performance is pretty crappy right now imoho. Two 6970's dipping routinely into 20s on ultra 1920*1200 without AA. First game in awhile that could actually benefit from a cpu upgrade. Running i5-750 @ 4.2Ghz. Well in my instance it would be just an architecture upgrade....not a clock upgrade as the toms hardware benchmarks pointed to.
5870 in Crossfire + 4.5GHz 2600K should yield good numbers at 1920x1080 with Ultra settings and maxed AA and FXAA?
