Any spider experts here?

I live in northern Michigan, and this guy is hanging out around the front door. I myself know spider species well, and at first I thought it might be a fishing spider, but now I am not so sure. It is very aggresive, yet doesnt seem to want to leave his perch. A couple of times it flipped its front legs up at us while we went to take the picture. It does indeed have red fangs as outlined by some of the literature to be found on such a spider. It is very rare, but dangerous spiders can be brought into the states via produce cargo. He stays in the corners in the late evening, but I dont have a clue where he goes during day light hours. (I hope not in the house). I would really like to catch him, but he seems pretty nervous. I dont want to kill him, but we have children coming around now to have a look, and I cant control the crowd while I am at work.

Anyone have any input? Thanks!

The body is bit smaller than the petbug's picture, but that might simply mean its a male.

Dock Spider, possibly a Wolf Spider. With how cold it's been at night the last few days in MI it would be dead if it were a Brazilian.

IMO it resembles the pic enough to get the hell out of there. I hate spiders.

You have to remember he is in Michigan. He may very well get super powers, but I'm betting the woman would be more Delta Burke than she would Kirsten Dunst.

mmmm maybe they could get a closer picture, try a zoom lense.

Edit: get it before it lays eggs if its a female. otherwise they will update the status of the spider and will have south america and Michigan.

We're going to try. He isnt always visible, and we feel much better when we know where he is at! LOL.
