Anybody get a Google+ invite?

I've been under the impression that the invite system is closed. I signed up for the "keep me posted" at the google plus page, but I haven't heard anything. But it looks like people are signing up left and right.

Maybe I'm missing something, but how do you invite people anyway? Add them to a circle?

I got in yesterday. It was well after it was supposed to have been closed but it was evidently still open. I really really like the circles idea and hope facebook rips it off. I don't think this will ever get nearly as popular because everyone is so ingrained on facebook.

aharami, they opened invitation last night for about two hours or so. people who already had G+ got the chance within that time period to invite their friends.

trmiv, the link to invite will show up at the bottom right corner of your 'stream' page. There's a 'start hangout' button, a 'get google+ for your mobile' link, and then below it will be the link to invite people (which by default is turned off so you won't see it there now).

MikeyLSU, my impression is you don't need to be invited again, if you are already invited but received the 'over capacity' message when you go to http://plus.google.com, then whenever they give people capabilities to invite again you just need to browse to that page again and create your profile. I could be wrong though.

this worked for one friend the rest are getting met with limited field trial messages.

invites closed again.

every time they open invites they make a post about it. they are slowly expanding the size of the test group so they don't get overwhelmed and to work on bugs.

sorry for those I couldn't get an invite to in time. When they reopen I will send them off.

Anyone seeing a pattern for the invites yet? I seem to see people posting that the button is live (on this site and others) around 7-9pm. *shrugs* Or perhaps I'm just too eager and seeing things cause I want to ^-^
