I just got the board and set it up two nights ago. So far I like it, this is my first micro atx board. Anyone having any problems? Anyone overclocking this board? Please let me know. Thanks.
I have the same mb with a 1.2G Athlon 266 .......... and have had nothing but problems when trying to use Win98se.........
I've been trying to get it stable for over two weeks, and replaced most of my system while trouble-shooting ......... ?
To make a very long story short ......... I installed Win2Kpro and everything seems to be running fine .........?
I own one. On it right now in fact, running Slack 8 ok. Do you have trouble in the CMOS where you disable BIOS codes? My bios chokes and actually locks up with screen distortion. Also my CDROM decided to detect sometimes and not others. Any clue? Do you have the 11/01 flash? I am using the latestest one off of chaintechs site but i have heard that the 11/01 BIOS is the best one so far.
alocurto, I had that problem when I disabled bios shadow and vga shadow. Never had the cd rom problem though. I am using the 10-23 bios like you. Where can we get the beta bios or 11-01 from??? Thanks. I also would like to overclock but this bios has no OC options!!! I am also on it now, runs fine. It is my secondary system.
I am using a 7sid as a guitar amp/ multitrack recorder. Acoplishes that task very well. The board probably isn't a favorite around here due to it's lack of oc'ing options.
Chris,
I put together the c7sid and installed XP pro. Using Radeon all-in-wonder 32ddr video, 512mb Micron, IBM 15 gig, powermaster 300w power supply, onboard sound. I left it with my bro-in-law, who is notorious for uninformed command-line dabbling, and has small children performing repeated boots and other bad things. In short, this has been an informal sandbox test, and has performed well for about 1 month.
I have no complaints yet.
skyking, Thanks for the feedback, mine is running great so far also. I am using XP pro, 250 watt Aopen power supply, Geforce2pro 64mb, IBM 30 gig 75gxp, 1.33ghz t-bird, 512 crucial pc2100. This is a secondary/portable system and I love it so far. I stuck it in a INwin T515 case, the one with the built in handle at Directron.
Sound like the kids are putting it through a thorough testing
