What kind of shops are at metrotown?

I live in Burnaby. Metrotown is half a block away from my apartment. I can see it right now through my veranda.

What kind of shops are there? Hmmm... clothing? They got food courts, The Bay, Sears, Zellers, Toys "R" Us, etc.

It's also attached to Eaton Centre with Metropolis which is supposedly a different shopping mall.

For simplicity, "Metrotown" is a general term referring to that shopping area. The 3 main complexes would be the Metrotown mall, Eaton Centre, and Station Square.

OK.. now I'm jumping all over the place. Just go there damn it. It's just a shopping mall.

I freguent Metrotown alot when i need some gifts and stuff like that. Fav store = EDDIE BAUER (yeeaaah)

They've got a lot of great shop there, it's probably the best shopping centre in all of the lower mainland. Eatons Centre is a big part of it. Playuim and Silvercity Famous Players also make nice additions. It's basically your typical mall with some good extras, Big mall too.

Just your basic mall. Its big, so most major stores you can think of will be there, along with a whole bunch you've never heard of. Mostly you can buy trinkets and clothing though.

After visiting Edmonton Mall, I'd have to say that Metrotown is tiny. But I'd still say it's the better mall, EM was so... empty... As if the stores didn't matter.

Well, the IT industry in BC may be tiny compared to somewhere like California, but it sure is the cheapest place to start a business.

Cheap to get fast connections, etc.

The drawback: hefty taxes.

Except for those crazy taxes, BC is a wonderful place.

Well, the programmers over at EA weren't complaining the last time Chretien visited them.

Honestly, what's this deal with money? I dunno about elsewhere, but here at SFU:

You ask the first year compsci and engineering majors why they're in, they'll tell you it's the money. You ask the 4th year ppl, they'll tell you that they love it. The money people have been weeded out or have grown to love the subject for what it is.

Yup........... Metrotown & Eaton Centre is just a run of the mill mall (although it's probably the biggest mall in the lower mainland). Nothing Special.

I know that money isn't the only issue.

But if you make about 50K and in April you pay the government 20K or so, that's a bit too much, don't you think?

And I agree about Comp Sci. "Money" is the dumbest reason to choose comp sci, especially since computer career requires constant training.
