Played and finished. Its a rehash of HL and it is real short. Its ok but nothing groundbreaking or new.

I think there is a option for that but I don't even have HL installed to try it out.

well I love Half-Life, and I dont have tons of time to play it, so i dont mind if its short or not. I Know that there is a HL2: Wrath of the Yindor comeing out soon next year I believe.
This is what I read somewhere:
Half-Life 2: Wrath of the Yindor, will also go deeper into the Separation storyline, but not as Gordon, Walter, Adrian or Barney this time but as a yet unknown scientist working at the last surviving colony on earth 35 years after the disaster, almost every human being has been killed or converted to the Xen Race and the last survivors escaped to a secret Antarctic Research Facility known as IceWolf, thinking that the fragile Xen lifeforms would freeze in the cold, you, a 30 year old scientist, were wrong, the first adapted lifeforms start to appear near IceWolf and are starting to enter the base perimeter, after a while the power cables have been chewed through by the adapted Xenomes and now they are entering the cold facility... after you and the rest of the survivors. With a XenoFormed home-planet and your last hope destroyed you and your colleagues start the portal once more...

I bought it today, i'm off home in about 20mins to play it. Like aUt0eXebat, I love Half Life, so it would have to be really cr*ppy to make me hate it, we're talking serious poo-stain rubbish, if you know what I mean! Hope aUt0eXebat is right about there being a HL2, but that scenario you described sounds a bit pants.

i played it last week and beat the game in two days. The game is cool, fun, just like the original, but i found it very very very short. I couldn't believe it was that short. I wasted time downloading it

they didnt even have new weapons or anything of that sort. You only got the basic crap, I prefer Opposing Forces, better aliens, better weapons and hella fun.

I was in total schock when the game ended, If you think OpFor was short this is about half the size of opfor. Ok I have to admit, there are puzzles and and the maps and ambiance are very very nice, the story is good but jeez I played maybee 7 or 8 hours. Take blue shift times 25 and now you have a game.

Since I now know the puzzles and I'm sure that if I were to restart it at medium and just run through it blasting everything, I would probably finish it in 3-5 hours tops. BS fits it good.

it does include opposing force. the high def pack is awesome.. the aliens look so much cooler and the animation is alot better. the new upgraded guns a are sweet too. yea it sucks that its short, but hey its a cool game.

Im not sure if that HL2 paragraph i gave was true or not, i just found it somewhere. sounds kinda cool though
