Anyone play Cradle?

Interesting game, like maybe a sci-fi version of Gone Home. I havent actually played Gone Home yet, but basically you examine stuff in the environment to build backstory and solve puzzles. Anyways, I didnt look at every little item, but most of them. The ending leads me to believe I missed quite a bit. I finished it in 4 hours. Anyone finish this and understand the ending?

I started playing it last week..about 2 hours in.

The environment is interesting. Some very unique artistic direction.

The story really doesn't grab me at all, though, which is why I moved on. I'll probably finish the game up at some point, but I was expecting something far more compelling.

Yeah, the environment was interesting, and the detail was fantastic. I was expecting something else story wise, which is why the ending feels somewhat incomplete. I may have not been paying enough attention though.

Normally you would have to read paper found in the environment to know where things are, like the finding the salt. The game is also fairly linear. For example, I was exploring the hut and found solar panels and batteries. I tried to assemble it and the game said to do it later. Later in the game it came into play. There are a couple of instances where you see things that are obviously puzzles or have some significance, but you have to wait to do them.

I actually saw someone else play this section of the game, and its what got me to buy it. But to be honest, the game is no more than this. I thought this gameplay would scale up as you progress, but it doesnt.

Since I haven't played the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games yet I'd be happy if they did a a refresh of the original games with a newer game engine.

A completely new one would be good too!

Looks like a well done game. I used to play those but now because of limited time I don't get into that kind of game anymore.

I'm a bit irritated by trailers like this that don't portray the actual game in any detail so I'm going to ignore it until they can produce a more relevant trailer.

If it's like Gone Home as the OP claims, then that's probably because there isn't any actual game.

I'd say 75% of it is like Gone Home, from what I've seen of Gone Home gameplay. Then there are like 4 or 5 variations of the same mini game which require a lot of platforming.

You jump around in this Tron-like world collecting a set number of colored cubes, while avoiding an enemy. Kinda like a 3D Pac Man, except the ghost can destroy the map and pellets.

They actually require some skill to finish, but if you fail you can just skip it. Some outdoor exploration, with a couple platforming sections. Like the mini games, it seems out of place, because most of the game you are just looking at stuff and interacting with things. Then you have to make a series of skillful jumps to proceed.

There also appeared to be some kind of enemy wandering the outdoor environment, but its easy to avoid and I dont know what would have happened it if caught me.

Its very interesting in a lot of ways, but annoying in some others. Its more of a game than something like Dear Esther. Actually feels like the first few hours of a Fallout game, just more detailed without any fighting. Anyways, there is gameplay in it, just seems like it didnt quite know what game it was supposed to be. The guys who made it have talent though.
