I first started watching the show because of "President Palmer" and have been hooked ever since.

I love the show. Blasted through Season 1-2 and now eagerly awaiting season 3 to finish, because I like to watch entire seasons all in one go. Gives the story better continuity IMO.

Great show. Catch up and watch season 2. Season 3 is out already? The battle scenes are really good. The backstory of the wives is there to appeal to women.

I was worried it was going to get stupid when that episode about the wife dreaming came out. the ending made me groan. Luckily that passed

I didn't start watching till Season 2, but I got HOOKED last season. Gonna buy Season 1, can't get enough of this damn show. I hate the wife aspect like most people seem to do, but guess it's nice change/filler.

they need the wife element if they want to keep the show from getting cancelled. I don't mind the wife element if they're cheating and getting scantily clad (waiting for Palmer's wife to do it now that she's lost some weight)

I think the wife element is also to show the realism of what military families go through, and the sacrifices they make. I don't think it hurts that it keeps women interested in watching.

No I understand about the wife part...just think it slows down the show. Understand that's what military wives/families go through though.

I don't really watch it week to week, but tune in now and then mainly cause Robert Patrick seems to be in it, and Palmer too. Problem is that some of it is a bit too 'hollywood', and biased on the wrong side. Last week's re-run had them defending some forward operating base, where no one could hit jack. Something is up when a squad of US riflemen and machinegunners can't hit a pickup with 20 people onboard. Although some of them were construction personnel, there were special forces and regular infantry.

this is an awesome show, though i typically fastforward through the wife part. i got my intern hooked on it too. can't wait for season 3.

That show makes me want to punch myself in the nuts. They show it on AFN and I flip the channel..not that I get to watch TV much.
