Conservatives are angry because she advocates for "socialist" policies, yet here she is attending an expensive event, wearing expensive clothing, and schmoozing with rich people. Conservatives, who generally subscribe to the "fuck you, got mine" mantra, are unable to comprehend that wealthy people can do all those wealthy people things while still being advocates for the working class.
The thing is, AOC isn't really wealthy. She's only had a congressional salary for 3 years. She had student loan debt to pay off when she entered. She like most members of congress likely maintains a house in her district and a place to stay in DC (NY and DC are both expensive places to live). We know she helps out family financially, it's the whole reason she worked at a bar that conservatives love to attack her about. Sure she has the salary of a member of Congress, but by all indications she's one of the few not abusing her position to become obscenely wealthy. Hopefully being in the cesspool that is the US government doesn't corrupt her over time.

Depends on where the threshold for "rich" is. The majority don't pay any federal tax. They may all be in the poor category.

Pretty sure she has defined it as 10 million plus in assets that they presumably draw from or $350k per year plus.
I think recently she has moved it higher.
I am sure one of the Bros can explain it better.
Edit: I did some brief reading here is a link from her original ideas.
People earning 10 million or more per year should pay substantially higher taxes like 50 to 70% like they did under Regan and $600k plus should pay 39.6% give or take.
Short on time so I did the amateur thing and skimmed the article.

Let's take this as truth for the moment, even though it's been debunked god knows how many times.

It is then a damning indictment of the wealth inequality in the united states that so many people earn so little as to not pay any federal income tax at all in the first place.

Tax the rich.

Let' pretend for a moment that Democrats are the advocates of the working class, why are they not pushing ways to increase the pay directly to the working class? Who really thinks that having the government directly pay non-employees is a good thing? There is nothing preventing the benevolent rich people to pay more in taxes than they are legally required to pay. The rich are not going to get punished by tax increases. It is going to get passed along to the working class as inflation and lowered buying power. Rich people are still going to be rich and Democrats now get to have more control over people's lives.

That's hilarious.

Are you incapable of producing a single statement that isn't dishonest and/or projecting? I don't believe you can, as I've never seen one from you.

It's absolutely fucking amazing to me how completely batshit crazy you people have to be to think this shit. Who is trying to literally increase the minimum wage to increase pay directly to the working class? And give them healthcare benefits?

They are. They are trying to raise the minimum wage, provide health insurance to all Americans, mandate paid maternity leave, just to name a few things that are being stonewalled by Republicans.

No, which is why you fucking morons need to stop responding to them instead of trashing yet another thread by responding to his tired lies and bullshit for page after page.

Do you ever read and edit what you write before you post? Like, ever?

Umm... Increasing minimum wage?. Duh. First sentence and you throw out an easy pick six.

..The rich are not going to get punished by tax increases. ..

Oh!. Good making progress here!
Exactly the point. Jeff Bezos having $150 Billion instead of $200B still means he's insanely fing rich, but some of that excess wealth can be used for the public good (schools, roads, debt payment, reducing taxes in low income brackets...) instead of being locked in vanity projects or unproductive investments.

. It is going to get passed along to the working class as inflation and lowered buying power. Rich people are still going to be rich and Democrats now get to have more control over people's lives.

Had it, then you lost it. What economic law are you quoting here? You have a reference for this?

And how exactly does raising the min wage "give Ds control over people's lives"?
Generally, more money, more freedom, but it's somehow the opposite you say. Poverty is freedom?. Wtf?

So I guess you are cool with muti-billion dollar companies like Amazon paying $0 income tax instead of using their fair share to fund programs that benefit primarily the afore mentioned working class?

AOC, ever the nutty attention monger. She is an embarrassment to America.
I would take her over MTG 100% of the time. In fact i can rattle off at least a dozen deplorable Republicans who aren't fit to shine AOC's pumps. Starting with the insurrectionist caucus

I want to make note of FDC's comedy calling AOC an attention monger at the same time kissing Trump's ass.

Butt, butt, butt, butt ......

Minimum wage is telling companies how to do their business!!!
Healthcare for workers costs companies too much and eats into profits!!!!

And the other way for governments 'to increase the pay directly to the working class?' Hire more employees for public works and other government jobs.

Butt, butt, butt, butt ......

Big government !!!!!!!

The fact that you need to come here and be all triggered and post lies spun up from the right wing nut job machine proves her trolling worked on your tiny weak mind.

Fuck off!

Really?! You think that when people look at recent American history and issues they are looking at AOC and shaking their heads?
I can assure you that that's not the case at all!

GQP'ers don't realize they are the American embarrassment to the world to the large majority of other Western developed nations populations. They would look at Felix and his fellow GQP'ers as cavemen that haven't evolved properly and think AOC is fine.

Where the GQP might have fans are in uneducated populist supporters of wackadoos like Bolsonaro and Duterte. The literal shitheads of their countries. Now then Felix might have a point.
