Apache+PHP+mysql

Okay, so I've gotten the Apache server up, I can do regular HTML stuff, I also believe I have mysql up b/c i can do the mysqladmin versions and it says it running or whatevers, but i can't seem to get PHP to work, I've downloaded the RPM file from rpmfind.net. I've followed instructions and everything but still no luck. so here's what i'm getting at, when i go to my apache directory /etc/httpd/conf/ and i type httpd -l i dont see php as a mod is there a way i can add this?? maybe i'm installing stuff in the wrong order?? anyone???

You have to ensure that your Apache is compiled with MOD support..having done that, you grab the PHP mod, and then in the /etc/httpd/conf directory modify the httpd.conf file and be sure to add PHP has one of the loadable modules, and also include .php, .php3 as valid start pages. PHP's online documentation describes the entire procedure of getting this working..be sure to read that..Regads
