The reason given by Mueller as to why he didn’t bury Trump on obstruction is explicitly laid out in the report and has zero to do with the amount of evidence against him.

Mueller says he STARTED from the point that the president could not be indicted therefore he started from a place where he would not make a judgment on Trump’s guilt because it would be unfair. Those are his words.

Scooter Libby literally went to prison for obstruction of justice without an underlying crime being proven. He’s not remotely alone.
I’m not debating that point. Mueller did not make a judgment, but his findings do not provide a conclusive path forward. Time to bring it before Congress.

I don't think barr, or sessions for that fact, would allow an indictment to go forward.

Yes, he explicitly stated his findings would not provide a legal path forward no matter what he found.

With the fact that he refuses to say if Trump were guilty in mind, the report basically says Trump is guilty. I mean look at this quote:

Substantial evidence indicates that the President’s effort to have Sessions limit the scope of the Special Counsel’s investigation to future election interference was intended to prevent further investigative scrutiny of the President’s and his campaign’s conduct.

That’s obstruction of justice and it’s not ambiguous.

If the Mueller investigation led to discovery of a crime, then Trump would be prosecuted for that crime in addition to obstructing the investigation of it. Since there is no evidence of an underlying crime, the obstruction charge is tenuous.

This does not mean obstruction did not happen. It means obstruction becomes more difficult to prove. As I said earlier, Mueller also acknowledged that the President does have the authority and discretion to defend himself using the powers of his office. Prosecuting intent absent an underlying crime is an exercise in futility.

Mueller said as much. Does not exonerate but provides rationale for why he didn’t bury Trump or his sons on obstruction.

Trump would be prosecuted? The report makes it clear he couldn't because of DOJ policy that you can't prosecute a sitting President, and thus Congress has the duty to act instead.

Nonetheless, I will ask again. If the Mueller investigation led to the finding of a crime against Trump, do you agree that he obstructed justice? I'm asking your opinion here. Not your analysis of other opinions.

lulz. someone is angry with their choice and blaming everyone else

You got it wrong Zin...this guy sounds dumb enough to vote for him again. Primarily because the alternative choice is a Democrat.

These brainwashed fools are only too happy to keep electing a lying, corrupt, incompetent, wannabe autocrat simply because he's not a liberal.

It is clear to me he intended to obstruct justice and that the Mueller report provides ample justification for impeachment.

oh I agree. I also think much of this anger that they feel is manifest from their subconscious--they know they are wrong, they know they have been fooled, they know they are all a threat to democracy and the norms of this country, but they can't admit it or simply accept it, because dumb pride is simply too great. This is pretty common among the very poorly-informed population that has no real education (focused on developing proper critical thinking in all manners of life). There is no ability to question one's personal belief against purely objective fact. They simply can't do it.

So their brain, subconsciously aware of how damaged their person is, reacts with anger directed against perceived enemies as a pure, reptilian defense mechanism.

And let's revisit that one, too.

It's an exhortation to an adversarial foreign power to hack an opponent's e-mails -- but e-mails which are likely mischaracterized and therefore a fiction themselves.

Where did he get the idea of 30,000 e-mails? Did the FBI analysts note that 30,000 e-mails had been deleted? I've deleted millions . . . . and millions . . . . and millions of e-mails. They mostly came as spam or advertisements from Home Depot, Lowes, Sears, my bank and other sources. How many e-mails would Clinton have received or sent from her home server -- a convenience to her work -- when the larger part of them would be on the State Department servers?

Not even close to asking a foreign power to hack. The servers were gone and wiped, idiot. That's why he made a joke about the missing emails. The emails were subpoenaed and then some how got deleted. I think the emails were from Yuri in the Ukraine, Vlad from Moscow, and Chitown Barry.

when was Trump exonerated?

Guilty until proven innocent? Your SC couldn't muster anything more than a nothing burger. I'm stocking up on my popcorn now that the Barr run DOJ is going to start reviewing the start of the "Trump Russia" collusion sham.

So the conservative plan is to brazenly lie and pretend Trump wasn’t implicated in multiple felonies?

Yes. Regardless of the contents of the report, did you really expect otherwise?

No, not really, haha.

On one level though it’s still kind of amazing. The report has Trump undertaking an identical action to the ‘smoking gun’ tape that caused Nixon to resign and not only are Republicans not pushing for his resignation, they are saying it proves he is innocent.

This is what I mean when I say one of our political parties has gone insane. Anyone that thinks otherwise is welcome to explain why actions that merited impeachment and conviction in 1974 are exonerating in 2019.

I watched a big part of Barr's performance in his news conference yesterday. Now there's a guy that owes the thinking world an apology. What a toadie. I felt bad for two AAG standing behind him-they looked like victims held hostage by some terrorist group.

It's funny because Democrats are essentially giving them Pence, yet they won't take it.... They're scared shitless of crossing Trump and having Donnie take the base down with him, haha.
