This makes it sound like only a few of the models in question have the issue. If it's all that were sold between a two year period, that doesn't sound like a "small percentage" to me. Did they just choose this wording to save face?Apple has determined that a small percentage of MacBook Pro systems may exhibit distorted video, no video, or unexpected system restarts. These MacBook Pro systems were sold between February 2011 and December 2013.
So are all of the listed models affected? Or there's a chance yours is ok even if you have the model in question. Do I need to contact apple just to find out if mine is affected? I've never had any of the issues they describe with mine, but it is "one of the products affected."Note: If your MacBook Pro is not experiencing any of these symptoms and is not one of the products affected, you do not need to contact Apple.
I've not heard of the issues before, but have a MacBook Pro (17-inch Early 2011), and Apple's wording has me confused.

I'd be reluctant to buy any Apple product with nvidia inside
And the affected 2012/2013 rMBPs have NVIDIA GPUs. So either way you go you win.The effected 2011 MBPs have AMD GPUs.
