Trump doesn't care.

Dude is clearly going to do what he wants, as far as he's concerned he has a mandate to enforce his will on America.

The level of cultist thinking in the Republican camp is at 11. After years of "you either support Donald or you're a RINO" indoctrination, and then Republicans are the real Americans, anyone who doesn't support Donny is the enemy not a fellow American.

The protests are good for reminding people who already dislike Trump that there are people out there that dislike Trump, and for witty protest signs, but I doubt it makes any inroads to the 30% of Americans who are deep in the cult and likely can even be spun as an "attack" (metaphorically or literally) at a moments notice by Fox News (just show some French protestors burning something and then say it happened in come city no one will ever visit and boom).

A reminder that if you're in a red state, change your party affiliation to Republican ASAP. You can vote for the least crazy person in the Republican Primary (or write in something else if they're all crazy) and it will make you harder to purge for the 2026 elections.

If it was tallied only using event registrations then the real number was much higher. Not putting your plans online beforehand is one of those commonplace cautionary measures many people do, like leaving your phone at home, or giving it a quick scrub and turning off location data/ biometrics before attending. I didn't register.

FWIW, the privacy situation is worse than most people know:

1. Offline tracking (Bluetooth, location, etc.)
2. Hidden bluetooth beacons
3. SIM data collection
4. Gait tracking

They can track you from the unique physical profile & movement of the peace sign you give to your aggregated phantom profile from being in the background in pictures from protests. AI has made all of this data collection easier, faster, and more accessible. Doorbell cameras. Wifi body imaging. The list goes on & on...

Most people aren’t aware they are being watched with beacons, but the “beacosystem” tracks millions of people every day. Beacons are placed at airports, malls, subways, buses, taxis, sporting arenas, gyms, hotels, hospitals, music festivals, cinemas and museums, and even on billboards.

My view is he is simply too obsessed with approval and popularity, too renowned for having the temperament of a thin skinned, imperious toddler, to not care about this. Adulation is the only thing that competes with money in his head. You might as well say he wouldn't care about losing $5 billion. This is a guy who sold the powers of his presidency to a ketamine nazi for about $300 million let's remember.

There is no way he doesn't care about this. None. I believe it might be why Laura Loomer suddenly entered the picture again. Everyone in his orbit teamed up to banish her crazy ass from the White House, and she was out. Maybe Trump was getting info on these huge protests, saw little opportunity to incite BLM or antifa hate, got depressed. C'mon over Laura, life sucks and I could use a mushroom polish. I'll let you fire somebody, please.

Whether or not this butthurt is taken into consideration as he continues on with the P2025 insanity, we'll see. These protests weren't aimed at magats at the local level. I think everyone understands if you still support the guy at this point you're a lost cause. The onset of poverty and absence of healthcare can take over the appeal to that 30%. This was aimed directly at D.C, specifically Trump's enablers in Congress who have forefeitted their role in our system of checks and balances.

Good advice about the party registration. Not something I have to worry about but I'm sure plenty of others here could be doing that.

This!

If nothing, it probably strengthens his resolve to fuck with people more, to double down on tariffs, ICE raids, and ignore the Constitution and courts.

Good to see this finally happening. Been seeing small protests all over here in South FL even. the outcry and response will grow, especially if Trump does nothing to walk back all his economic blunders and people's retirement accounts keep cratering.

Hopefully ... Saturday was a taste of what’s possible. And we’re just getting started. Keep it peaceful (for now)

Looks like lots of people are not happy about what insanity really looks like.

On a tangent, I was there in 2004 for the WWII memorial rededication. It was also Rolling Thunder weekend, so it was pretty crazy lol.

I was wandering around one night & NOBODY WAS AT THE MONUMENT! I got some awesome pictures at the Reflecting Pool & around the grounds. It felt crazy that there were 300+ million Americans & I was the only one there, haha! Very unique experience. Unfortunately, it was a year before I got a dSLR...all I had was a 640x480 JamCam LOL

My brother went to my sister's apartment and helped her get to the rally in Seattle. They took the bus, the light rail, and the monorail to get there and back, the first time for her on those modes of transportation. He's a sweet brother.

I was thinking there had to be at least one if those today. When a beat up cyber truck, or any maga pickups for that matter, drove past us that was on my mind.
I didn't research it any further. Just an anicdotal comment that she dropped to me.

On a sidenote about the protests… mad props to the peeps who showed up in downtown Louisville! Shit loads of roads are closed and a lot of the offramps & on ramps to the interstate are blocked because of the rain and flooding.

The protests are never for those that vote Maga. They're doomed and until something is affecting them personally, they will not bulge. And it's not something that they will see happening to others, no. Just them personally suffering. No empathy.

But you protest for those that voted, to get them to see there is a country that's alive and not bowing to the dictator in the making. And mostly, for those that didn't bother, because "they're all the same" or "I don't like politics, I want to just go on with my life", or "yeah, but"

Maybe in future you should blur faces? Just saying...
Eh, his wasn't the only camera around. WTH. People have to not be paranoid. If we're afraid to let it be known we're concerned that things aren't gong well, we're as bad as Russia, NK, Belarus, China, what have you. NORMALIZE protest in America and we have a chance!

OK, watched 2 1/2 minutes of that 34 minute video. It's kind of racist. She is saying "we" but she means we blacks. We've got to be more inclusive to achieve unity.
Honestly if black folks don’t want to champion this us white folks can and honestly we should do it. We tend to rely on black folks to do this stuff, we need to carry some of the burden.
We are not at a point where I’m going out however I can easily envision that day coming.
